Beautiful 3-bedroom cabin in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Located just 12 miles west of Cadillac, Michigan and just steps away from Caberfae Peaks Resort. Unlimited things to do- Hiking on the thousands of acres in the National Forest. Canoeing, Kayaking or Rafting on the Pine and Manistee Rivers. Fishing at the Tippy Dam and the countless lakes or rivers in the surrounding area. Direct access to over 300 miles of groomed trails for snowmobiling or off road vehicles. Snow Ski at Caberfae Peaks or McKenzie Cross Country Ski trails. Multiple Golf course and Mountain bike trails nearby. Can't forget Lakes Mitchell and Cadillac down in West Cadillac. Fun for all ages.

Adorable Cottage, close to Caberfae

The family loved staying here for a ski trip. Wood burning stove was lovely, well stocked kitchen (even frozen dinners and snacks were available upon arrival). Hope to stay here again!

Wonderful Cabin

Wonderful Stay!

"All the comforts of home" is an apt description of this lovely cabin. We had an excellent stay. Everything you need is there. Plus, beautiful linens, comfortable beds, great location and a very helpful, friendly host. We'll be back!

Very nice place

My adult son, son-in-law & I stayed here to try the utv trails nearby. It was a blast! House was just as described and we had no issues. The trails are pretty close and the one we rented from dropped the rides off for a small fee. Definitely would reccomend this as a base!

Wonderful property.

House is close to tons of trails and several nice restaurants. Everything was clean and we loved the cabin’s decor. Owner was friendly, helpful and always available for any questions.

Coziest cabin and so close to the slopes

Loved this cabin! The host was super responsive and so helpful! Plenty of firewood provided and loved the wood burning stove. Lots of room for all your things. And the upstairs bedrooms are so cozy. Literally two turns away from Caberfae.

Great weekend getaway

The cabin is very cozy, nicely appointed, and has a super comfortable and homey feel. We enjoyed family conversations on the deck and at the fire pit. Dory has done a superb job with decorations and furniture. It is the perfect place for a relaxing family getaway with plenty of outdoor activities nearby.

Perfect chill Cabby getaway

We had such a delightful time at this cabin just a couple of minutes from the slopes at Caberfae for closing weekend. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and cozy up for the week. We were also only 30ish mins from crystal for the weekdays. The beds were super comfy and we had a wonderful time. Dory was super fair and a great communicator throughout our stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent location and very cozy cabin

Loved our stay here. We had 7 sleep here very comfortable and place is so cozy. We loved the wood burner and the confee couches. Plus this place had all the amenities plates, silverware, coffee, toaster even stuff in refrigerator for us. So nice. Dory is accommodating and very sweet. Love the stay. Will stay again

Ski Trip!

Convenient to Caberfae Peaks resort, staying here meant we could have plenty of space, a kitchen and table, etc. for the whole family instead of staying in a hotel. We were able to ski together, cook together, and spend a wonderful couple days together overall. Hopefully, we’ll be back next winter for more of the same! We definitely appreciated the plowed driveway, btw.; Cadillac area had a ton of snow on the ground when we visited.

Wonderful place to stay, quiet and cozy, amply parking. Host very quick to respond to questions. One hundred percent would recommend. Hope to revisit the area in the near future and looking forward to staying there again.

Cozy cabin

Cabin is nice clean snd well equiped. Worked perfectly for my wife our 2 adult kids their girlfriends and our grandchild. We were in the stea for s family reunion. And plan on making this a yearly stay.

Wonderful Ski Cabin

We had a fantastic stay at Dory's lovely Cabin while we skied at nearby Caberfae (10min walk!). Communication with Dory was excellent, check-in was very smooth, and the cabin was perfect! Clean, warm, well laid out and the beds were really comfy. Dory was flexible with us on our check-out time, which we really appreciated, and we had a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back and recommend this cabin to anyone!

Cozy cabin for northern ATV ride

I stayed at this cabin/home with 2 friends for 2 nights during a recent ATV ride in the area. We were able to unload our ATVs in the yard and drive to the trails. It was perfect for getting back and relaxing after a long day of riding. As its description says on the listing, it offered all the comforts of home. I will look to book here again next time I'm in the area.

Would stay here again

This was one of the most well-stocked places that I’ve ever stayed at. Appliances were older, but worked very well and everything was spotlessly clean. Box AC units in every bedroom kept the place nice and cool. Dory was very quick to respond to my questions. She was very accommodating when I asked for a later check-out due to running a half marathon that day. Overall, a very nice place to stay and will be staying here again in the future.

Everything awesome

Everything was so great we all loved the quiet location. It was my husband and his brother and wife and our 27 year old son. We were there for a family reunion so we were away from the cabin alot. Everything was so welcoming. The baskets of goodys was special it was the first we've had that. It was fabulous. The host accommodated all our needs.

Cozy, welcoming home

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy, welcoming home. We had a long drive and didn’t get to the house until very late, so we greatly appreciated the coffee and snacks that were available for us the next morning since we didn’t have time to go grocery shopping. We spent most of our time away from this house since the purpose of our trip was a family get together at a relative’s lake house which wasn’t big enough for all of us. But we did enjoy some things close to this house- the golf course and hiking trails. The house was well stocked with plates/mugs, towels, electrical strips at the bedside for charging devices, and even s’mores supplies. We would definitely recommend this house if you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to stay.

Perfect cabin for our family snowboard trip

This cabin was decorated as if it was a very well cared for and lived in by the owners. Every room was clean well appointed with everything we would need. Plenty of blankets and pillows, and the small kitchen had everything we needed. Driveway was plowed and had plenty of room for cars. We will definitely be coming back as it was a perfect distance from Caberfae. Only problem was there was a hotub listed as an amenity but there was none. The owner was quick to respond that this was a mistake on VRBO's end and not theirs as there has never been a hotub on the property. Owner was also very accommodating with us in booking this property. Lesson learned to verify with owner if a certain amenity listed is actually on the property. The listing has since been fixed. Thanks for letting us stay at your perfect little getaway!!

Christmas Break Ski Trip

First and for most, the Nelsons are outstanding hosts! Dory has thought of everything, from making sure you are aware stores for food are not in the immediate area of the cabin but a few miles down the road and generously leaving snacks, water, coffee and even a pizza in the freezer if you get in late. The house is extremely clean, cozy with warm bedding, blankets, wood stove to use and the homey decor. Our boys loved it so much they asked if we could buy it! But, just do you know, it’s not for sale. 😊 Just a hop, skip and a jump away from Caberfae Peaks is a plus and if the snow was really good, we’d have brought our sleds to ride on the trails too that are right there. We love the neighborhood. Very quiet and quaint of similar chalet looking cabins. It’s nice when you can bring your fury friend too. They even have a dog crate for you to use. We definitely have put this cabin high on our list and will use again if it’s available. The price is very reasonable. Thanks for the awesome stay, Nelsons!
