Fantastic Family Vacation

The house is amazing.

The house was amazing! The owner Mitch was great to work with. He (and his team) went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. There was some unexpected complications but they took exceptionally great care of us.

Absolutely Amazing

The place was incredible! Mitch and his team were spectacular! We had a small scheduling conflict and they were so attentive and helpful it blew us away. They helped with excursions, personal chef and more. The views and cleanliness of the property was awesome as well. Thanks Mitch and crew!

We spent the holidays over Thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful the views are amazing. Nothing really to complain about. I am nitpicking the houses on top of a very steep hill so it makes it hard to get around the neighborhood

Spacious Home

Our stay here was great. There were 11 of us (adults and kids) and there was plenty of room for all to sleep, and several common areas to relax, play cards, or watch television. 2 laundry rooms were very helpful. The pool and hot tub area had plenty of shade. The concierge, property manager, and housekeeper all helped make the experience worry-free. It was a short drive to shopping and beaches, and the nearby Mar Vista restaurant was very good. We had a few small hitches, but all were quickly addressed and remedied. Highly recommend this home!

Incredible House

Staff was excellent, especially Ariana and Maria. Everything about the house was phenomenal. Location was a bit remote without access to vehicle but we made it work. Only issue at all was access to groceries/beach. The beach, restaurant, and grocery/liquor stores are too far to walk so we needed to arrange for transportation every time we needed something and that was not as easy as we hoped. If we had a rental car it wouldn't have been an issue as those things aren't that far. We decided we didn't want to rent a car as we weren't familiar with the area but if we did it again, we would definitely get at least one vehicle for short trips to the store/town. The location itself is incredible with phenomenal views but resupplying groceries/drinks was a little bit of a challenge without a vehicle at our disposal. Overall, maybe the best family vacation we've had and the accommodations were incredible. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool, game room, and bar/deck area playing cards. Wonderful family experience.

Incredible sunsets

We are a family of 7 with 5 adult children. The house was very comfortable for us. The house would be equally comfortable for multiple families with many younger kids/teenagers because of the bunk room. We spent most of our time sitting outdoors, in and around the pool. The views and especially the sunsets were just magnificent. Throughout the week, we also enjoyed the workout room, the family game room with pinball and darts, the home theater and the basketball hoop out front. The restaurant in the community, Garcia Mar Vista, was delicious. On the last night we had Miguel cook for us at the house (set up through the concierge). Dinner was delicious. Had we discovered him sooner, we would have had him come more than one night. His price was very reasonable. Tere, our concierge was very helpful leading up to and during the week of out stay. Arianna and the housekeeping staff were delightful and kept the house clean and took care of laundry throughout the week. This was an added bonus for being on vacation. Overall we really enjoyed our time together at Casa Symbiotica.

Christmas holiday

Gorgeous home in an incredible setting. Very private, gated, peaceful. Design of home is amazing with one side dedicated to sleeping and another dedicated to living. We especially liked the views, pool, spacious accommodations, how well equipped the kitchen was, and the movie theatre, basketball court and the most lovely housekeeper. Highly recommend! Our recommendation for improvement is two-fold. One: to have everything working or note it is broken during the walk through. Nothing was noted to us so we were surprised when we turned on the grill and saw flames shoot out from the knob, that the treadmill inconsistently worked, that several movie theatre chairs did not work and that the hot tub never got above 96 (even though it says it does). We expected the house to have better water pressure and hotter water in the showers. For example the bathroom at the very far side of the house we could only get warm water if the shower was turned at halfway. With no door it was sometimes cold. Two: We would have appreciated if we could recycle at the house. We were surprised in Costa Rica that this was not an option. This is a house best for people who can easily do stairs (given 2 bedrooms have steep stairs for access or access to a bath) and it might be good to note this so people are aware before booking.

AMAZING VACATION HOME!! Hope to go back!

Casa Symbiotca was an absolutely amazing vacation home! It is very spacious and feels even bigger in person than what the online pictures show. The view is INSANELY pretty when you walk inside the front “door” (it’s an exterior door that opens to a covered breezeway that connects the living quarters, sleeping quarters and outside/pool area). We had 12 adults, including our 6 adult children and 3 of their spouses. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and it even felt spacious when we were all in the same room Tere, our concierge from Tropical Homes of Costa Rica, did an exceptional job helping me with airport transfers, local dining reservations, securing chefs for multiple meals, arranging for massages and reserving our Adventure Day! Tere was one of the, if not THE best property assistant I have ever worked with. Our daily housekeeper was super sweet and a very hard worker. It was another benefit of this home to have it cleaned each day. The location of the property is up a steep hill so I would suggest rental car or hire drivers for any outing. We rented a small car from a local vendor, Economy, and had them deliver the car directly to the house (and pick it up) for a small fee. We used this solely to go to the grocery store and to shuttle people to Gracia, the restaurant within the neighborhood. This worked out well! Tere arranged for all of our other travel needs . The pool was awesome! Spent lots of time around it. We were so sad to leave!

This property is gorgeous with unmatched views. The pool, diving board and living quarters are as good as advertised. Nice little hiking trails close by. Property owner was responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Incredible views!!!

We absolutely fell in love with this area of Costa Rica. Mar Vista is a little sanctuary in the hills. The house was absolutely magical. Plenty of space, views from everywhere, perfect layout for our group. We have never been back to the same place but we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else when we return! Exceptional.

Beautiful villa with lots to do with friends

We stayed as a group of 4 families with kids of ages 3-11. The pool, the media room, the play room, the basketball and tennis... All were a huge hit with the kids. That left the adults free to enjoy the gorgeous view and sunsets and cook amazing dinners in the open footprint kitchen and outdoor area. I highly recommend the place!

Heaven on Earth

We have stayed in many high end homes ranging from 6500 sq.ft. to 15,000 sq.ft all over the world and Casa Symbiotica is at the top of our list of places to stay. Walking in the front door is as exhilarating as the last with the spectacular view over the infinity edge pool to the Pacific. The living space and bedroom areas are very well thought out and perfect for large to multiple families. The quaint towns within easy driving distance have fantastic restaurants and night life for all ages. If you are a surfer or aspiring surfer, you must stay here!

Paradise in Costa Rica

Casa Symbiotica was the nicest house we’ve ever stayed in. The view was magnificent. The house is essentially separated into two areas: the bedrooms on one side and the entertainment area on the other (kitchen, living room, outside bar and grill, weight room). The house was perfect for a large family get together. It also has a movie theater room and game room with darts, ping pong table, and pinball machine. Needless to say it was hard to leave this place!

BEST VACATION EVER

This vacation home was everything our group could imagine. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. The view from the home is AMAZING. The house was very comfortable and there was 12 of us. The kitchen and dining area was large, which was a plus for us. Although the house was great, the hospitality was the best. The housekeepers, and concierge made sure we had everything that we needed and made whatever we wanted to do happen. They planned all of our transportation and excursions. We have not one complaint about the home, everything was beautiful!

Great Friend Trip!

We had a great stay in an absolutely beautiful home! It’s breathtaking to walk in the front door for the first time. We thought it was a great floor plan to have one side of the house as the common living areas and the other side with the bedrooms. We had 17 ppl in our group with a broad range of kids, and every age group had a blast. This house is very kid friendly. The concierge service was very easy to communicate with and really did all the hard work for me. Lastly, the maid for the house was so sweet and always had a smile. She was truly a blessing to have around.

Magnificent Views

This house offers spectacular views and a very convenient location, close to great beaches, shopping and many excellent restaurants. Home has everything you would need for a great vacation! Perfect for our family get together (12 adults/teens). Property Owner, Mitch, was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to any needs we had. Ariana, who kept the house clean was fantastic and offered us some great ideas for daily excursions. 4 star rating instead of 5 star was due to a few relatively minor maintenance issues that were not addressed until after our stay was over, but this didn't stop us from really enjoying the house and having an excellent time!
