The ultimate escape to real luxury with genuinely fine people. I loved the restored 19th-century palace with very spacious and sleek bedrooms that opened up to individual, private patios fronted by lovely gardens and singing birds. The swimming pool was fresh water, and if you got chilly in the spring weather you could jump into the steam room or sauna. Views of the countryside from the terraces were spectacular.
The cuisine was very well prepared, a good fusion of traditional Portuguese food with French gastronomic cuisine finesse.
I do want to return to the Palacio, and it will be for a longer vacation here!
