Overall the stay was nice. Breakfast was great, the staff were very accommodating. We just had an issue with the hot shower, but the hotel staff was very quick to address the problem.

Rockin At The Almont

Great food,very clean hotel & friendly staff at the hotel....tv reception low signal only problem.Handy to drop off laundry at reception & pick it up same day. The plaza is right in front of the hotel & only a short ride to SM Mall,Robinson's Mall & Gaisanos. The 7.4 earthquake only added to the adventure 😂

I stayed here for a month from January to February. The staff were no doubt one of the nicest staff I've ever come across in any of my trips. They accommodated any of my requests, and I had plenty. The location is amazing. Being in the plaza, close to the university, many food options, and a bridge, it let me experience all that Butuan City had to offer. They had complimentary airport shuttle service, which is what sealed the deal for me. It was not late in both arrival and departure, and it was a smooth ride. The food options were also very diverse and affordable, and I opted in to room service many times. The only thing I wish is that there were dessert options. The rooms were satisfactory at best. I stayed in a suite and while it was very worth it, there were a few problems. My first room had a terrible toilet blockage that nearly flooded the bathroom, and then it had a ceiling leak that forced me to switch to another suite. The second room was MUCH better, the TV actually worked, and I had access to the veranda. It was amazing. I'd say that the only issue I had in that second room was that it was hard to find a balance between hot and cold with the AC in the room. Overall, great experience. I'll stay there all the time.

Wow. I did not realize I’d find such an elegant yet affordable hotel on Mindanao. Everything was perfect from the staf to the last minute accommodations for an unplanned additional guest to free airport shuttle service, right down to the added touch of our towels being folded into kissing swans. And all of this in a location that is smack in the middle of everything downtown. I have nothing negative to say. Only thanks for a great stay.

My #1 hotel option in Butuan

Local to everything, friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room, and great offers such as transportation to and from the airport. I have stayed here before and it is my number 1 option in Butuan. The only problem was the hot water was at best warm. But other than that, excellent place to stay.

This is our fourth or fifth time staying at the Almont City as my wife's family lives in Butuan City. Rooms are always nicely maintained and very clean. This time we had some problems with hot water in the showers in our two rooms and they had to eventually change us to other rooms. The staff are always very cooperative and helpful and the hotel is the only one we know of in Butuan to offer an airport shuttle (very helpful).

Excellent Stay

I stayed a week here. The best thing about this hotel is the people. The staff here was excellent. I was in the suite. It was spacious and the living area was comfortable. However the bathroom was very dated and there was even a large crack in the bathtub. The biggest problem for me was lack of good house keeping. I complained a few times. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. There is a park/plaza right in front of the hotel where there was almost daily events. Food and shopping all around. Free shuttle from and to the airport. I will definitely stay again.

A very nice budget hotel for more than 2 people

I love that it is right in front of city plaza. I have a good me time in there during midnight. I wish they could offer a breakfast buffet. The breakfast is really good but I widh tjey have that option. Hotel personels were good and welcoming.

First of all you must ask yourself what you’re doing in Butuan. It’s a filthy hole of a town, and no personal business there is worth the experience of the downtown hotels the Almont City Hotel put me in a supposed quiet room. Having got by the splicing prostitute outside, I was ready for a sleep. However at 5.30 in the morning the generator next door cranked into gear i an alarming way. I tried to go back to sleep to no avail. The breakfast was inedible.
