"We arrived in the evening with another couple (we rented both Casitas) and there was only a key for one of them. Contacted the owner and they sent someone to bring the key to the other Casita about an hour later. The Casita had not been cleaned and we had to wait for it to be cleaned before we could bring our bags in. "Our flight was canceled due to weather and we had to extend our stay in Belize. The staff at Black Orchid made this extra day of what could’ve been a huge frustration the best part of our time in Belize! Mariano, Ashanti, and Edmond were the most amazing hosts! Can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff here is. There were probably 10 of us that showed up last minute due to mass flight cancellations and the Black Orchid team lept into action to make this an amazing experience! Thanks to the owners who treat their staff so well and for Mariano, Ashanti, Edmond, front desk and chef that took such great care of us. The stay here and the river cruise we took from the resort was the most memorable experience we had in Belize. 10 stars!!!"
