It was so comfortable with abundant amenities. The open floorplan contributes to that comfort. The setting has 360 degree views of beautiful countryside. Book early, this place will be in demand when word gets out about this cozy hideout or hunting basecamp!

Great property out in the country, very peaceful and lots of stars at night! Place was clean and comfortable, although we mostly just slept there during a family reunion weekend in Mankato.

My son and I went up to go hunting during youth season. Property was very clean. Loved the open layout of the main living area. Everything was cozy and inviting.

Quiet, roomy house!

I was so happy with my experience at Richard and Kimma’s home. The hosts were friendly and responsive from the time of booking through the end of my stay. When I arrived, I was given a plate of homemade cookies along with the key and a tour of the house. I was spending the week at the Willa Cather conference in Red Cloud, which was a quick 20-25 min drive away, very easy to get to. I was mostly alone, though the hosts were very kind and let a friend whose hotel booking didn’t work out stay with me for a night at no penalty. As a woman traveling solo, it was nice to know that the hosts lived close by in case I needed anything, but I felt safe the whole time. There was plenty of room, and I loved their sense of style in the vintage decor. Everything was clean, comfortable. If I go back to the Willa Cather conference or am in the area for any other reason, I would stay here again. Thank you so much, Richard and Kimma!
