"Really happy with hotel. I was surprised that we had to pay £10 each for the spa, because last time it was included in the price. Evening meal was really nice. Breakfast wasn’t as good. Would definitely stay again though "

"They seem to be in the process of updating renovating the hotel but the room was clean comfortable with a nice view of the Wrekin. Only issue was the tv which had poor reception."

"It is a wonderful historic building, but very run down . Some parts, eg the listed ballroom is closed needing roof repairs. Threadbare carpets, although bedding and towels changed each day there was poor bathroom supplies. I believe it is for sale. So fingers crossed because it’s in a good position with a car park. No resturant, or bar snacks. There is an excellent Spanish tapas restaurant round the corner.m and Peaberry a few yards down the street great for breakfast. "
