"Property in pictures was not property rented. No dock for fishing, bathrrom was completelydifferent. Windows inside and out were disgusting. Stains on curtains and stench throughout. Called owner several times with no response. Dimitry stated, before booking in email that we could drop bags off on way to golf course, then changed. Horrible experience; . We did not stay. I requested a refund at 1030am, September 16. "

"In my opinion the advertisement for this property was misleading for example: no TV remote could not operate TV, dishwasher did not work, kitchen blinds broken, dirty toaster, upstairs bedroom carpets severely stained, living room wall severely stained, some beds had movable slats that failed to stay in position leading to a poor sleep, broken chair in the eating area, no cleaning supplies, no bath mat in the main bathroom. "I was slightly disappointed with my stay here. While I did notice and understand that they are doing some renovations, I was unimpressed by the state of my room when I walked in. The room is spacious and not bad, but it was very clearly not cleaned well prior to my arrival. The inside of the fridge was gross with spills and food remnants. The floors seemed dirty and so was the bathroom. The mirror wasn't even clean and had splatter on it. There was no bar of soap or hand soap bottle which I found to be odd. The bathroom window was open when I came in and it was freezing in the room. The window also didn't have any sort of latch or lock just slide close. As a young woman staying alone I didn't feel the most secure to be honest. They also had just installed a keypad lock system which is fine, but I noticed there was no secondary latch for the inside of the room which I feel like is a safety concern as well. The girl who checked me in was friendly, but overall this was an odd experience. I never have much expectation when staying at a motel, but I feel like this lacked some very basic necessities in any sort of hospitality stay. I am not sure if there was breakfast or anything included here but I was given no information at all. I am glad that the TV was working. I would highly recommend the following things to improve customer satisfaction with their stay: -Providing hand soap and towels -Better cleanliness -Locks on windows and doors -New mattress or topper -Extra sheets"

The Burleigh Falls Inn & Suites

"I enjoyed my stay at the Inn. I was there over a weekend for two days of work. The building was quiet and my room was comfortable. Some of the decor is a bit older, but it had charm, and was clean. I stayed in the main building. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was good. The Wifi in the Inn was not the best, but only an issue because I was working on something. I would stay and the Inn again."

"I have no issue with hotel rooms with run down, tacky furniture - especially when the price is right - but there is no excuse for the room being dirty. Although the hosts were friendly, they need to change how they clean. And if they can’t get the gross dirt off the cabinets and furniture - replace it! If we weren’t just using the room to sleep, I would have left and found a way to seek my money back from Expedia. At least sheets were fresh and soft. I just didn’t enjoy the feeling that I needed to keep my shoes on when walking around the room. And I definitely did not use any of the drawers and cupboards to unpack my belongings."

"Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit."

Lakefront House! 2 Large Decks + Private Yard

"We did enjoy our stay for the most part and had everything we needed. Interior was nice but not much privacy outdoors. Also smelled awful on the patio from the old outdoor garbage storage not being emptied. Was not as clean as expected. Some of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty, some of the light fixtures were filthy. Definitely needs new cooking pans! Could benefit from a more thorough clean all around. For us, not really worth the price."
