"We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. "Hotel Palacio del Valderrabanos proved to be the best choice for our place of stay in Avila for a two day visit. The room is spacious, clean, upgraded while maintaining a sense of medieval style and classic look from the lobby to the hallway and gallery. The front desk staff is one of the best staff my family has ever met. The hotel itself is next to the Basilica, tourist attractions, restaurants , various stores and outlets. We might go back again to Avila and book with the same hotel. Thank you for giving us a perfect day!"
