Nice little cottage for our stay
This house was ideal for us to stay in County Mayo as a base to explore the area. It is just 10 mins from the Town of Ballina and only a short drive to the coast. The cottage contained most things we needed and instructions from the property manager we’re clear and accurate. It was great to be able to self cater as if at home. We would stay again if in the area.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cottage was spotless, cozy, well equipped and a short walk to the pub and the little grocery shop in Bonniconlon. The cottage is also a very short drive to Ballina, which is very convenient. We look forward to renting again. Thanks for a great stay.

Great county Mayo location!
Great location close to Ballina for great restaurants and grocery stores. Good home base to visit lots of nearby scenery and recreation spots. Helpful host and a comfortable place to stay. Stayed a month and would have stayed longer!

Warm and Inviting
This end cottage was extremely comfortable and cozy for our 6 night stay. Being at the end of a cul-de-sac it provided privacy and it was extremely quiet. Barry was very responsive to any inquiry I had. The cottage is well equipped, providing anything you might need, and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely stay
This is a charming,well equipped cottage with everything required for a lovely holiday. The cake and wine was a lovely surprise. Barbara who is the point of contact was absolutely lovely and gave up her evening to come and show us how to use the washing machine. We had a great stay and the garden was perfect for the dogs. Lovely cottage in gods country
A lovely place to stay in the most beautiful country!! Communication was flawless . Barry was always right there - and Barbara is a true gem .. Nice , quaint little village with a great little convenience store , a pub ( absolute necessity) and some great hiking right there . Ballina is just a few miles up the road . Tons of great restaurants & shops. Highly recommended!!

Fabulous communication from start to finish - house exactly as listed - quiet, clean and cozy in great location. Was just my sister and I but it had a large fenced yard so would be perfect for small kids as well. Would def recommend!

Fabulous Cottage!
The cottage was beautiful and had loads of room for us and our cat, Nala! Many thanks to our host Barry who helped us tremendously! Also, a big thanks to Barbara for all of her help while we were there. We are very lucky to have chosen the village of Bunnyconnellan for our month's stay as it had easy access to all of the places that we wanted to visit. The Pub, Gallaghers Bar, was very friendly and we made quite a number of friends in the village, so it was extremely hard to leave......but we'll be back!!

Second time staying
This place was so amazing we came back after two nights away! We originally stayed here for 6 nights before heading to Southern Ireland for another 6 nights. After 2 nights in the south I contacted the owner, Barry, to see if we could come back for 3 more nights. So we drove 3 hours back to the cottage. We felt so safe and comfortable here. We definitely made the right choice coming back! Hopefully we have another opportunity to come to Ireland, I know exactly where I'll be staying if I get the chance!

This was the second time we have stayed at this delightful holiday rental. Once again we have given it a 5 Star rating in every department. The cottage is spotless, tastefully furnished and contains every amenity possibly required for a relaxing, comfortable stay. The location is ideal for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, local mountain walks and nearby beaches. Ballina is a short distance. The town offers a great opportunity to sample the local food, shops, bars & live music Barbara is a terrific host and a really nice person, she made sure we had everything we needed and was at hand if we wanted any help. If you are looking for accommodation that is well presented, thoroughly clean, that doesn't cost a fortune, we can recommend this delightful little cottage in Mayo you will not be disappointed

Spotless clean little bungalow in great location, highly recommend
From the outset I have nothing but high praise for this little place! From booking, Barry the host was extremely helpful. He sent emails recommending places to eat, amenities, places to visit etc. All this he did without being asked which I thought was particularly kind. To me he went above and beyond. Arriving at the property: The little bungalow was exactly as described. The front and back gardens are spacious. The back was so big for all the size of the little bungalow so if you have kids with you, like we did, the will never leave it! We put up a paddling pool and they kicked the ball keeping themselves entertained for hours. The whole property was spotless clean. Sofa and beds were so comfy! There was even an extra pull out bed and an air bed so you could definitely sleep 6 here. I was surprised to find so many appliances in the bungalow: hair dryer, travel cot, hoover, iron, ironing board, mop and bucket, microwave, toaster etc There was also a plentiful supply of cleaning products at hand: fairy liquid, hand soap, hand sanitiser, bathroom cleaner, surface cleansing wipes etc. It really was a home from experience. Also there is a plentiful supply of dvds available for kids and adults alike. Local Host: What can I say about the local host Barbara? Well she is absolutely fantastic!!! Barbara called soon after we arrived to check that everything was OK and to see if we needed anything at all. Barbara is so warm, bubbly and friendly. She really did go above and beyond for us on many occasions and we are so grateful to Barbara for everything she did for us during our one week stay at this property. She even brought us flowers from her garden! Barbara is Barry's hidden gem! Location: This bungalow is an end property which gives it great space. It's in a quiet area with a local convenience store only a short walk away. The town of Ballina is only a short 10min drive. Great location to explore other parts of Ireland like we did. Improvements: There's not much to improve on really. Barry and Barbara just keep doing what you are doing the reviews will speak for themselves. If I was to be really picky I would recommend that the back lawn is keep mowed like the front lawn as it's just a tiny bit long and annoyed the bits while playing football, also the back is not very private as it backs on to houses behind and you can see everything that is going on. As the back yards space is so huge a lovely patio table and chairs would be a nice touch!

Clean house, equipped with much more than I would expect 😀 All the appliances made our life a lot easier during the stay and when back home (washing, washing, washing... done a lot during our stay😆). Lovely neighbour, large garden, quick drive to Ballina - very good btw, Enniscrone beach, Ox Mountains-that was a nice surprise actually as I have focused on distance to the beach 😆 Barry is answering promptly and explains everything, highly recommend renting from Barry. We have just returned from a Brilliant 4 night stay at Barrys property. The place is in a lovely setting, Almost total privacy. It was clean and well maintained, Had everything you could ask for to make your stay run smoothly. Has a massive back garden which was well secured for anyone with kids or pets. Quite close to Ballina and about 20 mins to the Beach which was amazing. We had a really relaxing time and would reccomend Barrys place to anyone. Barbara was very helpful and friendly and on hand if any issues.

Immaculate Cottage, Nice Location, Perfect On Every Level!
We had a fantastic holiday from start to finish at this lovely cottage. Clear directions made it easy to find. The accommodation is first class, spotlessly clean and was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing, stress free vacation. (including a good shower & comfortable beds!) The location is well situated to explore the many tourists trails of Mayo & Sligo, in particular, very convenient for trips to the coast - Recommend Enniscrone + Lacken Strand! - Barbara was a super host, she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. All in all, a truly awesome experience. I would recommend this lovely cottage/location to others.

This was the perfect place to stay. The cottage was warm, cosy, sparkling clean and in a peaceful location. It was in easy reach of Ballina also. The beds were comfortable and the shower was very good. Some basics were also supplied. We would stay again.

Amazing cottage/ fab location
Just had the most amazing time at this lovely little cottage. The place is exactly as described and proved to be the perfect space to relax and unwind.The interior is fully equipped, homely and super clean. Its situated in a nice peaceful location but not completely isolated. The local village is a mere ten minute walk. It was a great base for touring/site seeing around Co. Mayo. Barbara, the co host was very friendly and helpful and was able provided a lot of useful information about the area. Will be coming back again next year. I can highly recommend a stay ...at the Wild Atlantic Way!

Beautiful Cottage Set In A Fabulous Location
We had the most wondeful time at this beautiful cottage, it was just perfect in every way.The hire cost proved to be remarkably competitive for the area. Barbara turned out to be the most amazing co/host, nothing was too much trouble, we cannot thank her enough. The accomodation is fully equipped and catered for our every needs. The interior was exceptionally clean throughout.(beds very comfy!) Their is a local village within walking distance. Ballina town and nearest beach are only a short 10/15 minute drive away. We have now found the ideal base for exploring the West of Ireland and will definitely be coming back to stay again. Without hesitation I can 100% recommend

Outstanding Cosy Cottage, Nice Location - Perfect for the Wild Atlantic Way & Beach
We had an amazing time at this lovely holiday home in County Mayo on the West Coast of Ireland. We had spent the previous week travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way through Counties Derry, Donegal & Sligo. Stopping over at various holiday rentals, The whole experience we had with regards to this holiday rental was by far the best. The owner, Barry made contact shortly after we made the reservation and was very helpful with general information and our requirements. Upon entering the cottage, we noticed a little vase of freshly cut flowers on the kitchen table, their was also a small tray with sachets of coffee, sugar ,envelope tea bags and a few chocolate neapolitans. Shortly after we arrived, the co-host, Barbara called over to see us, Barbara was brilliant, she made sure we were happy with everything and was very informative with regards to the local area, places to visit, including some good restaurant recommendations. All areas of the interior/rooms were nicely furnished and sparkling clean.The beds were very comfortable, we had plenty of clean towells. The bathroom gave us the option of either a bath or shower Their is central heating throughout. The whole place was extremely cosy and comfortable.The local village has a convenience store, which we found very handy for essentials.The town of Ballina is only a few miles away, it is a lovely town, which has some really nice bars & restaurants.The nearest beach at Enniscrone (which is amazing!) is only a short car journey away. We are already making plans for a return visit! If you are thinking of visting County Mayo,or on the Wild Atlantic Way, look no further than this holiday rental, its a real gem. Susan Marie Lowry

Lovely bungalow in a quiet location
In quiet location but close to Ballina and great for exploring the Mayo and Sligo area. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Only small issue was that there seemed to be a lot of bits and bobs stored in cupboards and wardrobes. Would highly recommend.

Clean, tidy, and an excellent neighbor/caretaker
Barry responded very quickly to the request to rent. Check-in was very easy. The place was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were plenty of towels for the bath and the kitchen. Location was a little out of the way, but fairly easy to find. It is a semi-detached property. There was no WiFi, and the heater in the living room was electric, made to resemble a free-standing wood stove, which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was cozy, and a nice to stay.

Very comfortable and clean
Lovely bungalow in quiet location, everything was perfect. Barbara lives next door and was very helpful. Barry, the owner, suggested eating at Dillon's in Ballina, which is a 5 mile drive but a beautiful town on the river, an excellent recommendation.

Perfect House
We stayed for the fourth time in this lovely clean house. The house is spotless clean and has all needed facilities. The area is very quiet and an ideal starting point for day trips to Sligo or Achill Island. Short drive to Ballina and Enniscrone. Definitely coming back

Wirklich empfehlenswert - we highly recommend this cottage!
Barrys Haus war für uns (2 Erwachsene) perfekt. Wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Ein gut geschnittenes Häuschen mit offener Küche mit Esstisch - zum Empfang lag dort Obst bereit - und Wohnzimmer mit gemütlichen Möbeln. Im Winter auch ein Kamin. Wir hatten nur Sonne, daher war das nicht nötig. Ein großes Bad mit Badewanne/Dusche. Wir schlafen gerne in getrennten Zimmern; das ging gut in den beiden Schlafzimmern (1x Queensize Bett, 2x Einzelbetten mit 1,90 m Länge). Als einzigen Wunsch hätten wir gerne etwas härtere Matratzen gehabt. Vor dem Haus eine kleine Bank, um den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. An der Seite eine eigene Wiese mit Wäschespinne. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung und der Küche ist sehr gut. An vieles Praktische wurde gedacht: Garderobenhaken, Erste-Hilfe-Set, Feuerlöscher und sogar Werkzeug haben wir gefunden, um das klemmende Kofferschloss zu öffnen. Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle, Herd, Backofen – alles prima. Keine Geschirrspülmaschine, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Die Lage ist schön und ruhig (das letzte Haus in einer Sackgasse) und für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen im wunderschönen Nordwesten von Irland sehr gut geeignet. Im Örtchen gibt es fußläufig einen Mini-Supermarkt mit gutem Angebot und Post sowie einen Pub. Ballina ist 10 km entfernt, eine hübsche Kleinstadt mit allem, was an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gewünscht wird. Bei Fragen haben sowohl Barry (per Telefon) als auch Barbara (vor Ort) schnell und kompetent reagiert. Wir können das Haus wärmstens empfehlen!

Le vrai charme d’une demeure irlandaise
Tout est pensé pour le confort du voyageur. La maison est agréable avec une décoration très personnalisée du meilleur goût. Un point central pour une exploration du Conemara, du Mayo jusqu’au rives du Shannon.
