It would have been great had the room been ready upon our arrival. (We were early but expected by the hotel.) Unfortunately I picked up some 'bug' and was running hot. That was compounded by having to wait in the heat for our room. By the time the room was ready, my fever combined with the heat and high humidity resulted in a minor medical emergency for me. The staff were fantastic, and got me to my room where I immediately cooled down and became coherent again. This was absolutely NOT the fault of the hotel, and every worker attended to my needs to ensure I was okay. So kudos to them. However, had the room been ready, this could have been avoided. It was my fault for not recognizing what was happening to me, and then pushing for the room earlier. I'm sure they would have accommodated me, had they known. Once again, the staff were very professional in a situation I (and likely they) had never before experienced. :)

We had three nights stay, following 3 nights at the sister resort - Sudamala Komodo. Both resorts are fantastic and highly recommended but this was our favourite. A tropical island with a reef full with fish. We also had days trips to Komodo and diving which were great experiences. The food is lovely. Good variation including a bbq theme one night but a great mix of Indonesian and Western dishes. The thing that stuck with us was the fantastic team at both resorts. However, we were really well looked after by everyone but notably Ayu and Grace in the restaurant and the incredible Zaka and his singing! Thank you everyone!

We stayed in the private pool villa which was a lovely treat. The villa location on the beach is great, it’s a quiet spot with a beautiful beach including resident turtle! Pros: the beds were comfortable and housekeeping was well done, and a great spot for the beautiful sunsets. Cons: out of town so good for quiet but hard unless you have a scooter (we hired one and it made the stay much easier), the check in was not great, just unorganised and unwelcoming, buffet breakfast was large but not amazing - just ok. The property was a little tired and can really use a good investment!
