"The hotel needs to update its facilities because it is already too old. It does not live up to it’s 4-star hotel status. They had an old radio, record player etc. wonderful if you want to see an old Kotagede type house from the inside. There's a bookshop attached to the house and it has a good selection of books, including Indonesian books translates into English, a section on Javanese culture, and political books like Gramsci etc.
