"Very good, if somewhat impersonal, service. It was located at the far end of the town on the main road (a 2 minute drive to the shops). The room was amazing with a private pool, comfortable lounge with sky news and very large bed. Water was not unfortunately provided free. The food in the restaurant and at breakfast was excellent. This is a very good place to stay and I would highly recommend it."

"Lovely Manor House Hotel property set within its own grounds and beautiful gardens, only a few miles outside of Oudtshoorn. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and toiletries with room service each day. Excellent breakfasts with good choice of healthy options and hot selection cooked fresh to order. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. "

"We arrived late in the evening as dinner was being served but after a slight mix up with our room we were given lovely cottage/house that was beautiful. We were only here for one night but it was so lovely. The dinner was simple but really enjoyable and all guests sat around the fire pit afterwards until late into the night telling stories about their travels. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and would recommend this place. "

Le Petit Karoo is a beautiful getaway in the hills north of Oudtshoorn, a definite recommendation for anyone traversing the Garden Route. Combined with a Route 62 drive, this provides the perfect counterweight to the coastal drives. Add in a drive through the Merringspoort pass - stunning! The relaxed vibe at Le Petit Karoo, complemented by the excellent meals prepared by Tracy, Karen and their team makes this your definite Klein Karoo base. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. "

"The family rooms are not sound proofed, we could hear the next guests room very clearly and unfortunately for us there was a very chatty family with a small child staying next to us. The room was very dated with a kitchen fridge in the room, the lighting was terrible, very bright white bulbs. We just stayed one night and didn’t use the pool and couldn’t find the gym which I think is probably a temporary structure. The highlight was the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. The service was great and the food also good with huge portions. My steak was undercooked but dealt with quickly. Breakfast was included both continental and cooked. This was our most expensive stop on the garden route so in our eyes wasn’t worth the cost. "
