Love this little town Buena Vista
It was all we needed .Restaurant and bars within walking distance. Monarch Park 45 min to ski or dog sled. Salida about the same distance for beautiful views.

Lovely Cabins close to town
We had a great stay at the Piñon Court Cabins. They were walking distance from the Main Street & Eddyline Brewery. They're in great condition for their age, comfortable and adorable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few nice meals in, and it was so nice to be able to have our dogs stay with us. Buena Vista is such a nice place to stay. We will most certainly be back!

Cute kitchy cabins close to entertainment and adventure. We stayed here and saw a show at the Lariat. The owners are super friendly. Would recommend anytime!

Nice, near hot springs.
Nice stay, quiet & comfortable. Know that rooms are older & amenities follow suit. Yet, rooms are clean & cozy.

Nice cabins close to downtown and dog friendly.
We stayed there for 4 days. We drove there from Texas. When we arrived the first night it was very late but arrangements were made so we had access to cabin late that night.. We were put in the wrong cabin and it wasn't a very restful night and I was very fustrated .. There was no one in the office because it was late night.. Next morning I talked to the owners son and he very kindly put us in a bigger cabin and from there our stay was very great.. We were there to celebrate my oldest 19 birthday and our last family trip since she has joined the military .. Our stay was very nice , the cabin was very spacious and very clean.. When we go back to Buena Vista again, we will be staying there again.. Thank you to the owner for a very nice stay..

Cabin was pretty comfortable & cozy with good heating. Bathroom could use a renovation for the price. Nice that they let pets stay for only an additional $10 per stay! Loved our cat visitor in the morning.

Very nice hotel, separate cabins, nice kitchenette
Had a very nice, relaxed stay. Enjoyed our fourth September visit in Buena Vista/Collegiate Mountains in five years. Enjoyed the lovely scenery in the area. Buena Vista has really expanded its service base - new restaurants, upgraded bars, new shops. We enjoyed the wonders of the Collegiate Mountains, particularly Cottonwood Pass area - aspens were in full colour. We spent good, quality time in one of the nicest local hot springs. The Pinon Court is central to all this and made the stay that much more enjoyable.

We didn't get the impression until we checked in that most people live in the cabins and aren't staying just a night or two. The warnings about reporting blood stains and making sure not to run more than one electrical appliance at once was a little concerning.

Great place in Buena Vista!
Buena Vista is a hub of activity! Almost passed on this place and stayed in Salida, so glad I decided to chance it and stay here! The owner is very nice and accommodating. The quaint downtown is within walking distance and Cottonwood Lake and Cottonwood Pass, both a must see are a short drive away. If you like mountain biking, rafting, hiking and atv's this place is for you. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with anything you may need. Mind you the cabins may not be for everyone as they are super retro but we loved it!

Vintage Comfort & Loads of Personality
This is a 1930's era motor court. Rooms are not huge but are certainly fine. It doesn't have the latest and greatest amenities but is clean and comfortable with updated fixtures and a kitchenette. We stayed happily for two nights and will be back. Bonus: the hotel kitty, Mr. Monster, took shelter in our room during a storm and ended up staying a night with us. What a sweetheart. Hotel management are fun and warm people (such a rarity!). Our neighbors were the same and the whole place was quiet at 10pm, and all night into late morning. If you're looking for 4+ stars, this isn't your style. If you like cozy vintage, cool people and can live with some exposed plumbing and without luxury frills, you'll dig this joint. Hopefully Bueny won't turn into Vail! "Keep Bueny Cool!" There's a new "downtown" (uptown?) going in and blah I don't think it's an improvement. We spoke with a couple locals in the service industry who said rents are going up and it's getting harder and harder to make a living there and have a life, too. Progress? Doesn't feel like it. Support mom and pop motels like Piñon Court Cabins and maybe we can all have what we want.

Clean rooms with very tight bathroom facilities
Staff/owners are pleasant and take good care of the property. The bathroom in our cabin was very small with a camper size sink. We enjoyed the location which was central to our hiking trails. There is no clear sign leading to the business lobby and it is easy to walk into the owners home by mistake.

Cool little cabin with everything you need. This is not a typical hotel room with daily service. Dont stay here if this what your looking for! Awesome little mom and pop operation in a laid back mountain town.

Would absolutely stay here again. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen facilities were quite good - was not expecting it to be so well-equipped. Even the TV had great choices.Rooms were quiet despite being so close to a major road. Cheerful decor that was unique and pleasing. Staff was really friendly. This felt like being in a home, not a hotel

Our cabin was ready a couple hours early for us so we were able to settle in even though we were early. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful for check in. The cabins are nicely located and easy walking for shopping and dining. Reasonably priced for the area as well. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Really enjoyed the cabin and the decor. Direct TV service. They do ask you to clean the dishes before you leave but the rate was good and the cabins are very cute. Enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay like going back into the 50's and 60's. Older cabins but well maintained great place to stay had a blast in Buena Vista. Liked they had a full kitchen saved time and money cooking in the cabin.

A funky 1930'so flavor...well stocked and appointed kitchenette. ..bed was a bit worn, but clean and quite comfortable. Bathroom was a bit of a challenge, small and crooked...a bug person would have difficulties. But for our needs and tastes it was great!

When we arrived in Beuna Vista our vehicle broke down and we needed to order parts to fix it, we ended up needing to stay another night and they we great at making sure we had a room. We are thankful they had a room avalaible for a 5th night.

Great little getaway
We rented a cabin for a last minute weekend getaway. It was lovely. The cabins are older, but the new owners have upgraded/painted and made great improvements. I read some bad reviews from people who stayed there with the previous owner. However, the new owners are pleasant, helpful and ensured a welcoming stay. The property is pet friendly, which was the a major factor in our stay (we . The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the cabins were quiet. The stay was very affordable. We would gladly return again!

Not the best cabins in Buena Vista...
Located off the main road, not secluded at all, looks more like a motel than cabins. At the time of check in, there wasn't anybody at the front desk, and the entire office was closed (around 3 pm). Had to go around the property to find someone who worked there. The guy who checked us in wasn't too friendly to say the least. There was a bucket of cigarette butts on the porch of our cabin, and the cabin itself smelled funny. It was clean, but there was no soap/shampoo, or anything like that left for us. There was a gas stove, and only in the evening when we decided to make tea, we realized there were no matches/lighters for the stove and had to walk around the property looking for someone to help (front desk was closed). The remote for the DVD player wasn't working, and we rented a DVD. The dishes you have to wash yourself, which makes me wonder if they are clean at all...Overall, very poorly managed place, would never stay there again, and would not recommend.

Overall, pretty clean. There is no sink in the bathroom. You also can't be too tall to use the bathroom. A lot of rules of what you can and cannot do in cabin. But having a kitchen is nice. Can walk to almost everything in Buena Vista.

The "Do it yourself or PAY....Stay!"
This was the "Don't do" and "do it yourself" most expensive stay I've ever had. The cabins claim to have a kitchenette. For who?? It states you cannot cook breakfast meats or any fish on the stove. Let's see why people would want a kitchenette? TO COOK BREAKFAST! They refer to a "grill" outside. It's a rusted old grate on a rickety grill that's 1 ft off the ground, not made to cook anything. The linens were not changed out the next day for "water conservation" Colorado is not in a draught. But ok, at least make the bed for $115/ night. That's just laziness. This is a "Mom & Pop" run business that wants YOU to DO IT! Great for tired travelers that want to sleep and wake and go, if they can stand the smell of old mothballs and dank-ness of age. INVEST in your BUSINESS Pinon Court. Update your 1950's appliances so you can make good on having a functioning kitchenette and quit using deceptive advertising. You do not live up to expectations. You do not give any quality service other than taking the money. Then turning your backs! Provide what you advertise for $115/ night. It's not that "cute or quaint" people have expectations. Everywhere is a threat of more charges if this isn't perfect when you leave. That's just saying "We don't want to do anything, so we'll charge you if you don't!" Won't frequent your glorified "Motel" again, or recommend it to anyone.

I liked the little cabins. Quiet and comfortable. They are tight for sure. However I was charged an extra $50 after I checked out. They will not return my call. We left the room clean, did all the dishes and even made sure everything was picked up. I was there for a bike race and spent very little time in the room. Beware of add on charges. I will not return for this purpose.

Relaxing place to stay!
Such a nice place! When we arrived, there was a fire in a communal fire pit, which we joined until the fire died out. The rooms are cute, albeit with a tiny bathroom. The kitchen was small but the space was efficiently used. A great experience!

A place to rest after a long drive
We drove in from Mesa Verde.and found a wonderful cabin waiting for us. The restaurant you sent us to very good in all aspects(service, price and most important the food) It was all great

The room was very clean. It is a very old motel, cute. We sat out under our covered porch and really enjoyed the evening. Everything is small as it was built I think 75 years ago. But, nice atmosphere. The managers/owners were very helpful. You can walk to places to eat. The only thing I didn't like was if you use the dishes you have to wash them. So I didn't trust past visitors and washed my coffee pot and cups before and after use.

Great hotel, we visit buena Vista often and this was a nice place to sit back and relax. Very clean room and comfortable beds.
