Maverick Apartments are great, in a nice old building with tall ceilings There's a Lidl just outside which is convenient for last minute groceries Everything can be done on foot, else there's a Metro station just outside the building as well Friendly and helpful staff, a must stay in Budapest!

We would stay again.
The building is fantastic even if it could use some touch up. It is in a great section of town if you love seeing great historic buildings. It was a 'one bedroom' but there was also a loft and a couch that could open out to a bed so the room could hold as many as six people. The room was very large with a full kitchen. We would stay there again. The only negative thing was that the entry to the building was hard to find and once inside, it was hard to find the reception. But keep searching, it is worth it and try not be distracted by the architecture.

Great old property in a great location for getting to Buda and Pest. Was under some construction at the time but overall very nice.

Upon arrival it was extremely difficult to get into the property. Once we got in and found reception, no one was there. Waited a while for someone to come and check us in. Apartment was OK but just OK. It was far far too hot all the time!!! When we eventually worked out how to turn heating off or down it was still too hot preventing us from sleeping. It is cleat to see that they've tried to make the most use of the small space with bed bring up on a mezzanine floor however steps up are extremely steep. Also no bed dude tables next to bed. Really this apartment is only suitable for 1 guest in my opinion. Severalliggts did not work, set up within apartment doesn't work well. However it was mostly clean and shower was nice. Apartment is in a good location and we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see. Sadly the photos on ebookers make the apartment and building look much nicer than it is. We would not stay in this particular apartment or property again.

The apartment exceeded our expectations, it was in a great location, in a beautiful old building and was very well kitted out. The photos don’t do it justice and the staff were so helpful. Highly recommend.

One of the best value in Budapest!
This place is amazing! Very centrally located (just a few steps from the Danube and Vaci utca) and friendly and helpful staff..i booked an apartment, and it was very clean, cozy and comfortable. I stayed was present the day Santa comes to Hungary, and the staff left us mini santa chocolate outside of our doors. It's really in the little details!

Great old building.
Room was freshly renovated, smelled great, meaning no smell. Service was very good. Only drawback was rest of building still in the process of being renovated. Still a good stay.

There was no kitchen in the apartment, kitchen was a common space in floor, but the other things is good, perfect location and view

The room was located in a proper palace and very well located to explore Budapest. Very high ceilings made it feel very spacious and I liked they kept the vintage furniture while the room was fully renovated. I felt comfortable but still in an old Hungarian palace. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a great place to stay, location makes for an easy walk to everywhere. There were places to eat nearby, close enough to everything, the staff were also really friendly and helpful. The only downside was the cleanliness; dusty and the toilets were smelly.

I liked that this apartment was very good value for money, and if you had the max of 6 people in it it would be amazing value! I also liked the fact that it had a modern and clean bathroom, lots of instant hot water and a basic clean kitchen. It was warm to the point of being too hot and we couldn’t turn the radiator down so had to open the window! The reception staff were very helpful and polite On the other hand, The apartment is very basic to the point of being uninviting. This is the first time I have ever stayed anywhere where the bottom sheet had holes and the duvet covers and pillowcases were faded and worn. The bed was very uncomfortable, the tv had no English speaking channels so was useless and there was no full length mirror. The window of this particular apartment looked out onto the windows of an office building which wasn’t a problem but I thought I’d mention it as some reviews talk of the appartment looking into the Danube, obviously not the one we had. The apartment is in what was once a magnificent elegant building, and is still beautiful but in need of some tlc. It is very shabby for the most part now and the lift is not for the faint hearted as it looks as if it has seen many decades of use If you are looking for an apartment on a budget that is clean and serviceable and warm then this is for you but in the end you get what you pay for so don’t look for luxuries like a tv!

Right in city center, easy reach to metro, train, airport bus etc, the only difficulty is finding the hotel entrance gate especially arriving midnight from airport, may be a bigger sign will help. Overall, excellent value for money

Central location in a former palace!
The Maverick is a great option. It is located within walking distance of just about everything and is priced appropriately. Remember the apartments are part of the hostel and for the price you pay its worth it to fetch your own towels. The apartments are clean and comfortable and full of character. And the folks that work there are friendly and happy to assist with directions.

Great place for the money, friendly staff, excellent location near the Christmas Market. We loved having a refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots, pans, etc. to save food costs. The only negative was uncomfortable mattresses. But overall, highly recommended.

The location is excellent. You can walk to most places. The bedding and the bathroom were very clean but the pots and pans curtains and bean bags were a bit grotty. Beds are really comfortable and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. The staff are very friendly and 24hour reception. The building itself is absolutly beautiful with so much character.

I booked a studio deluxe apartment for my brother's 30th birthday, my uncle also came along and we had an amazing five nights in Budapest. The hostel gave us a spare bed, were very helpful and polite and answered all of my questions by email. The apartment was clean, tidy, in a beautiful old building and centrally located. I highly recommend staying here in your strip to Budapest.

Location, location, location....
Great apartments in a super location. Apartments are clean and well equipped with friendly helpful staff. You couldn’t get much better than the location. Right outside is a metro station and 1 min walk from main shopping street. We stayed for 3 nights, we bought the 72 hour Hop on Hop off red bus ticket which was great, we bought the tickets in reception and it even included boat trip day and night. We also bought our tickets for the Baths in reception, would highly recommend a trip to the baths and include a 20 mins couples massage when you get there, bliss. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were a bit dubious cos the accommodation was so reasonable but we were no disappointed and very pleasantly surprised. I hope we’ll return to Budapest and I know where we’ll be staying....Maverick Apartments.

Brilliant, the apartment was great in a perfect location easy to find. The staff were really lovely and helpful. They arrange activities throughout the week so great if you've run out of ideas. Would definitely stay here again if in Budapest.

Good location. Big size and a lot of beds. The building entrance was not nice, but inside the apartment was. The place is like the photos we saw in Expedia, except the bathroom, it was fatal. Furniture to high, and shower to small and dark. Service was very friendly.

The location for the apartment is perfect it’s situated right in the centre of everything! The staff are really helpful and will offer local knowledge and make reservations for you. The only negative about this is if your looking for luxury this is not it however the apartment is clean, fresh, comfortable with everything required. (A better hairdryer would be nice) but if your planning on sightseeing and not spending to much time there it’s perfect 😊
