About this property
Gaia Yurt · Most Secluded · Forest Glamping · Sleeps 3 · Hot Tub
★ GAIA — Return to the Living World at Wildfern Grove
Welcome to Wildfern Grove, an intentional community and forest sanctuary nestled on 40 acres of Pacific Northwest beauty. Gaia is where the land speaks loudest.
The furthest yurt from the main house, Gaia sits in its own quiet corner of the forest, the choice for guests who want to feel genuinely, completely away. Here, the only sounds are the ones the land makes: wind through the cedars, birdsong at dawn, rain on the canvas at night.
The door alone is worth the journey. Hand-painted in the traditional Mongolian style — orange, teal, and gold — it is the most beautiful door on the property. Step through it and you step into a space that honors the plants, animals, and living systems you share this land with. A tree of life tapestry hangs above the bed. A colorful kilim rug in teal and salmon anchors the floor. A turquoise wind chime sings from the crown of the dome.
Outside, a paver patio and fire pit await. And beyond the fire, through the trees, territorial views open to the northwest horizon and the distant town of South Prairie.

★ ABOUT WILDFERN GROVE Wildfern Grove is a living intentional community and agritourism farm — a place where 20 people have chosen to build a life rooted in the land, in community, and in conscious living. As a guest, you are welcomed into that world. You may find a Thursday community dinner to join, an open event on the calendar, or simply the warmth of people who have chosen to be here on purpose.

We were looking for a peaceful place and this was perfect. The thoughtfulness that has gone into planning everything is quite evident. The shared bathrooms with composting toilets were easy and super clean! Would highly recommend and would stay again.

We loved everything about our stay, everyone was super friendly and helpful and we made a lot of new friends. We honestly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back again!!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend visiting sometime. It’s a great place to connect with nature and amazing loving people. I think I’m going to try and stay in every yurt at some point and keep coming back even after that whoop whoop! 🙂🤘🙌 thank everyone of you guys for a perfect weekend
When you drive in, its surrounded by ferns and native plants that make it feel very welcoming
We arrived at 3, the instructions were very transparent and we found our yurt right away. We had dinner in the shared kitchen as we arrived and found everything we needed from buns for burgers, and condiments. I met the host and she was helpful in helping direct me to the kitchen thank you for a peaceful place for us to unwind will definitely book this place when we are up here again!
Went to a concert at White River Amphitheater so decided to stay here for the weekend. We had been told that getting out of the white river amphitheater could take hours but we were able to be back to the yurts in 25 minute. I'm not sure if we just got lucky or if it was because most of the other concert goers were going the opposite direction to Seattle. My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Grove Getaways. They have 5 yurts and we stayed at the one furthest from the main house. The main house has the kitchen/bathroom/communal area so we would have to walk a little further to get to those things but still was only a 5-minute walk and it was nice being off by ourselves. It also looks like they are building an outhouse near the further away yurts which will be nice. The yurt was very comfortable and clean. It was a hot weekend (80s) so we were a little worried the yurt would be hot inside but the trees around provide great shade for most of the day and the yurts are insulated so that seemed to help. Hope to stay at the Grove Getaway again!!
The community here is great, and it was a very peaceful stay. :) The kitchen really does have just about any appliance or utensil you could need, and we enjoyed listening to others play music on the community instruments. :) Will definitely be back!!
Awesome effort and care from the owners. Had great plans to play cards all night. But, laid down with the candle ambiance and didnt speak for an hour. It was awesone!! Will be back and will recommend to others. Thanks for your intention. It shows!!

The bathroom situation is disgusting. The two compostable toilet stalls (outhouses) were packed to the top with waste - almost so you were sitting on other peoples poo. Why don't they clean them out?
Also, the only available water for brushing your teeth is non-potable (meaning - you should not use for brushing your teeth) and the water was freezing cold.
In the common area where there is a toilet - quite a hike from the yurt - and used by ALL the residents had one towel for drying your hands and was not changed out for the two nights, three days we were there. The TP ran out and there were no spare rolls anywhere to be found. The common area (music room, bath and kitchen area) STUNK! No fresh air at all. The bed was decent but the sheets were some cheap polyester blend. They also want you to strip the bed and duvet but charge you $25 plus a $20 fee. I think the hosts change sites to dodge bad reviews like mine - no way, there are 11 positive reviews and only 11 since they've been in business for over 3 years. Go elsewhere is my recommendation.
