Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Trip canceled day I was supposed to check in

Host never responded to inquires. The trip was finally cancelled the day I was supposed to check in. VRBO did refund the trip, but did nothing to help find a new place to stay. I went with another company who bent over backwards to make sure I had a place to stay. I don’t recommend this host nor do I recommend VRBO it was a bad experience overall and ended up costing me double what I was going to pay.

Do Not Recommend - Inconsiderate Owners

I booked our stay at this property 1 week prior to check in. Shortly after I booked this property, I received an email from VRBO that my reservation was confirmed. While driving to the property on check in day we were 30 minutes from arriving at the property when I contacted the owner for check in procedures. I told the owner I was the person who booked the property for the weekend. The owner sounded confused and told me to hold on and hung up on me. Five minutes later I received a full refund from VRBO. I contacted VRBO and 45 minutes later I connected to a customer service representative who advised the owner screwed up and already booked the property through another platform. The owner never bothered to return my call and apologize for their screw up. My family was left in the Katy, Texas area with nowhere to stay and unable to book another VRBO property until the following day.
