Great weekend!
House had everything we could possibly need or want to have a wonderful weekend. The screened porch was great for relaxing, kayaks were fun, nice little dock for fishing or stargazing. We even went for a swim! Perfectly clean and in good condition, and was near enough to go to Metropolis and Paducah for entertainment. There's a dollar store in Brookport for all of the items one inevitably forgets to pack. XD

Perfect lake house getaway!
The house was perfect, very clean and had everything we needed. The lake was so peaceful and we enjoyed hanging out on the screened in porch. The hot tub was great after long hikes at several of the nearby state parks. Highly recommend this property and I hope to be back again soon!

Peaceful and secluded bakehouse
The home was spotless, and well stocked. The property had great amenities like the hot tub and kayaks, 2 screened porches & a swing right by the lake, and a beautiful birdhouse with bluebirds in residence! It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We loved that we had to drive to Paducah & Brookport for restaurants and tourist fun, because that meant our home away from home was away from all that busy-ness! I can't say enough great things about this property. I hope to return!

Short Get-Away
We never stayed at a lake house. It was clean on the inside, the beds were very comfortable, hot tub was nice, the area by the lake was nice with the swing and dock was cool. Did not realize that in this area there are no leash laws so you have to be careful while driving because dogs just seem to come out of nowhere, and dogs are left outside overnight. Communication was outstanding and any questions were answered immediately. Thanks again for your lovely lake house.

We had the best time. The house was fantastic, the view was fantastic. The host was fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say. We will definitely be visiting again. It was very clean, and I'm picky. Everything you need cook was there. The host even supplied some of the basics, which was really nice, because the house was so nice, and the location we wanted to spend time there. Usually, I'm up and out sightseeing, and there's plenty of that in the area too. Loved it! Wish I didn't have to come home.

My aunt and I had a great stay here. The home was perfect, hot tub was wonderful and so relaxing. Loved the porch, the whole place made for a wonderful trip! The area was absolutely beautiful. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!

Girls winery weekend

The house is set on the most beautiful property. My kids loved the kayaks. I loved the peace and quiet of it all. The pictures don’t do this property justice! The host was amazing and very quick to respond! I’d rate this place 10 stars if I could!

Very peaceful!
We wanted a low-key, quiet vacation this summer. This property was the perfect fit. Very, very relaxing...breeze through the trees, the beauty of the lake, the nature sounds...all wonderful. Sunset kayak trips on the lake and bonfires were the icing on the cake. Excellent host too!

Lake Hohman “Home Away from Home”
We loved our stay with our grandkids at the Hohman Lake cabin - the house was very clean & well stocked with everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing & swimming in the lake, the wonderful screened in porches & the hot tub! We have stayed at other places in the area & this is our favorite so far - hope to come back! 😊

Great Retreat!
We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! It was nice to relax in the hot tub, fish off the dock, and kayak in the lake! It is about 15-20 minutes to town, so it is best just to come out and relax. I would definitely recommend this property, and we will be staying again in the future!

Amazing experience
From the moment we arrived, we were overcome with peace and tranquility, the house was incredible and was everything as described. We enjoyed everything from the Kayaks to the hot tub over looking the lake. The only negative that I can honestly say is I didn't book it for longer lol. Would recommend to anyone

This was the perfect getaway we needed! The sunrise and sunsets over the lake while in the hot tub was beautiful. Was very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here agin!

Peaceful home base
We stayed here for a few days during our kids spring break. We meant to use it as a home base while we hiked in the Shawnee National Forest. But we ended up loving the property so much we spent more time than hiking! The boys fished and the girls spent their time on the kayaks. We all enjoyed the hot tub. And I found a great place on the screened porch to read and have a glass of wine. The property was spotless. One of the cleanest VRBOs ever! Everything felt brand new. And the beds were super comfy. The elementary school kid cried real tears when we left because he wanted to stay. Overall a wonderful stay!

Mother & Daughter Getaway
My mother and I wanted to get away for a few days over spring break and this place was perfect! It was clean, spacious, quiet, and cozy. We enjoyed watching the geese from the comfort of the hot tub each day, kayaked on the calm lake, cooked steaks on the grill, and watched DVDs (the streaming services didn’t work, but we didn’t care, the other amenities more than made up for that). We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to getaway from the noise and chaos of the city! We hope to be back.

One more weekend to hike/bike before winter!
We enjoyed the hot tub over looking the lake. Our 14 year old was able to catch some bass off the dock and out in the kayak. The TV had poor connection and was slow but we were able to watch a couple movies on their peacock channel. The provided condiments (especially the hot sauce!) and laundry supplies were appreciated. We used the charcoal grill twice. Overall a comfortable weekend!
