About this property
Spacious home with large yard and hot tub- Nearby beach access and dog Friendly!
This spacious house has a large fenced lawn area for families to play a variety of games; croquet, frisbee, or even kick the soccer ball around. The home sits on a corner lot in a residential neighborhood at the end of the street. The circular driveway provides an easy access and parking for an RV or if towing a small boat or trailer (please contact the office to make us aware if such item will be on property). There is a 2-car garage to help make unloading easy. The garage also has a small layout for a versitile game area with a ping pong table. In the warmer seasons with the windows open, you can hear the neighboring ocean waves lull you to sleep.
Use the built-in back patio for entertaining, and there are plenty of sunlit rooms for lounging around on your vacation. We try to use only non-toxic cleaning products, recycled and organic paper products, organic native landscaping, compost, filtered water, and compact fluorescent bulbs. We support local businesses and our welcome binder is filled with local attractions and lists of places to go.
The area is referred to as the 'Banana Belt' because of its year-round sunny days and warm weather. It is just a few miles away from uninterrupted hiking along the world-famous Harris Beach State Park and a few minutes walk to miles of uninterrupted beachcombing. The nearby beach overlooks Camel Rock and crosses several small creeks to the north, making for beautiful private walks, and some of the best surfing and skimboarding in Southern Oregon.
Some of the coast's best fishing trips start in Brookings, from Oregon's cleanest river, the Chetco, to the Smith, Winchuck, & Rogue River. Guided raft trips and mellow inner tube floats are a great way to spend the day, and you can even end your Winchuck River trip within walking distance of the house.
The oldest trees on the planet are found within a 30-minute drive to Jedediah Smith State Park, and touching these mighty redwood ancestors is an unforgettable experience. The same distance takes you to Crescent City for all the 'big-city' frills like the Ocean World Aquarium, complete with shark-petting and sea lion shows.
Come enjoy the incredible beauty of the Oregon Coast from our warm and cozy cabin. We've done everything to make it feel like a home away from home. It was built by Bob Itzen of Itzen Drive, and the solid wood open beams have a history of their own. We even have a little electronic keyboard for your musical sing-alongs, a DVD cable on the DVD so you can watch the photos straight from your digital camera, and a small library of ocean-themed movies, books, magazines, art, and even board games. There is a wonderful loft in one bedroom for the kids to hang out - a great place for sleeping bags and late-night whispers!
So whether you want a romantic beach getaway or a family-friendly vacation, give us a try. You will have the trip of a lifetime.

Owners provided all essentials and equipment for activities. Our family enjoyed ping pong, basketball and hot tub.
This was our second time staying at this property, and it was great. It’s kid friendly and spacious! We’ll definitely stay there again if we’re going to Brookings!
We stayed there for a week and it was a nice place for 3 people. The hot tub was nice to soak in after a long day of hiking or walking the beach. I would recommend staying here.
This home was absolutely wonderful! There was so much space for the children to play, the deck was a nice place to eat and enjoy each other, and the hot tub was great for the adults to relax! We really had an amazing time and this home was so warm and cozy.
Perfect location for walking down to the Wenatchee River. Our two dogs especially liked it.
Really enjoyed the privacy. Plus all the amenities made it easy and relaxing stay. Thank you.

Great location!!
This house is great for large groups. The yard is gorgeous! Lots to do for the kids. I will say it was not as clean as we would have liked. We washed the sheets because it was obvious someone slept in the bed with dirty feet. The sunroom is no lie! It may be on the west side for the house, but it is just as bright when the sun comes up. Overall great stay! Would book again!
Wonderful property right near all our favorite beaches. The house is so perfect for a large family and we all felt comfortable and at home.
Thank you so much for the wonderful memories we were able to make this last weekend!
The property was perfect for our needs. It was a short walk to the Winchuck River and ocean. The Brookings area was beautiful and provided plenty of things to do and places to eat. Thank you!
The house is in a perfect location.. It is roomy and big enough for a large family. I do wish that other people who stay in pet friendly places would pick up after their pets. All in all our stay was here was great.
We loved this house! The kids had so much fun! The had the best hide and seek games here. The beach was a quick five minute walk and it is an amazing private beach by the river. We hope to return next year.
The house is cute and close to a few beach access points. You cant walk to them unless the tide is low, but Chrissy Point is a very short drive and lovely. We did have to vaccum the carpeted areas when we got there because of all the dog hair, but once that was done it was good. It was a great place to stay for a week!
We enjoyed staying at this home. With 9 people in our group we thought the house had great space for Everyone to be together and spread out when they felt like it. The kids loved the interesting loft area where they could bunk. Great experience
For a small community, it offered a great deal in different cuisines. Also enjoyed Harris Beach, a book store, thrifting and a beach at Crissey Field Visitor Center. We used the ping pong table in the garage as well.
