"Fabulous room ( Syfydrin ) facing the falls and the mountains. Bathroom was 'tight' but shower was excellent. We ate dinner at the hotel. Good atmosphere even mid-week in late September. Highly recommended esp if you are travelling in Mid Wales. The scenery close to this hotel is stunning."

"The hotel was perfect for a one night stopover on the way to Cardigan Bay. Hotel directions were very helpful & description was accurate. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome (including water & biscuits for our dog). We had our evening meal & breakfast with our dog in the very pleasant conservatory overlooking the terrace. The grounds around the hotel were great for a stroll (torch provided for night time walks), highly recommended."

"I'm glad that I stayed at The Castle Hotel finally. It was very pleasant! My room was spacious and had nice views out of the windows, the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant. It wasn't right in the middle of Aber, so it was quiet (minus the noise from the car racing - but I had a great view for it). Easy walk right down to the sea. The only drawback was not having a lift, but that is pretty common and my fault for having a heavy suitcase! I would definitely stay again."

We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice and spacious. It is a little bit out of the town and about a 20-25min walk to the centre. There's a retail park opposite. I would definitely stay here again."

They have added double glazing inside the sash windows so although room was on the main high street it was super quiet - had a great night's sleep.
