This little house was cute and cozy but the primary benefit was the dog friendly status with no limitations. We enjoyed the hot tub & outdoor sitting area in the evenings & the close proximity to all the local amenities during the day.
Loved our stay in this cute, comfortable cabin. We will be back! Hot tub was awesome, outside TV was great. Thank you sooo much for letting us stay at your home.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 4- fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed to cook our own meals, the kids loved the outdoor living space, hammock, fire pit and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It was close to Beavers Bend State Park and close to Hochatown.
Property, ammenities and vibe are just what we needed for a getwawy from Houston. Very pleased with locations and space. Outdoor aareawas icing on the cake. was i
The Shady Chalet in person is exactly like the pictures and the web description. Cozy, comfortable and inviting! Our favorite part was the outdoor space with the tv and hot tub.
My husband and I were here for a quick getaway...the cabin was perfect for just the two of us. Very close to all the restaurants and Beavers Bend State Park. The beds were very comfortable with super soft sheets (we tend to be light sleepers on vacation so this was a big plus.) The hot tub was a GREAT way to end the day after some long hikes.
This was a really nice place to stay, the Hot Tub was the best part of our stay. The only takeaway I have is the walkway up to the entrance was hard to navigate, and we needed a porch light outside the door when we returned after dark.
Property was cute and comfortable. It's right near all the in town attractions, has super comfortable beds, and the kitchen had everything I need to make Christmas dinner. The stairs inside are steep and not a lot of lighting out front, so just be careful at night. We had a great stay :)
I am ready to go back, everything was perfect for us. The cabin is setup with the basics a person would need to enjoy a quiet stay. Enough privacy to be comfortable and close enough to what the town has to offer. I plan to return. Thank you for a much needed weekend to reset and relax.
Such a cute cabin in the woods with its own entry off the highway. We did get alittle lost, took the wrong road before the cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub, went hiking at Friends Trail, watched the game outside on the covered patio and visited 2 great restaurants. Love that it is dog friendly! So she had a great time too.
This was the perfect place for us! We loved the vibe. Everything was organized and well thought out. It was very clean and nicely decorated. All and all very comfortable. We will definitely be back. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.
Patio could use a little cleaning , but was still nice to hangout in the hot tub and watch the game.
Bedrooms were upstairs and bathroom was downstairs.
It wasn’t a problem for us, but some might not want to go up &down stairs in the night.

We loved the cabin and the area. Very clean and quiet. The only thing i can say is i wish the pictures had shown the very steep stairs. We was a group of ladies between 50 and 80. But we had a great time and will book with this host again.
True to listing. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. The only complaint is the living room TV, you cant increase the volume. For us it wasnt a issue. We stayed outdide and watched TV.,the weather was great. cause we stayed outdi

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Great spot, no separate bedrooms
We really liked the cabin and the location, had everything we needed-- but please be aware, if you are hoping for a private bedroom, the two beds actually share the top floor loft and there is no door between them. We couldn't tell that from the pictures.
Overall, we found the place charming and confortable.
This was a great place for our weekend getaway, just my husband and me. The location gave us easy access to the golf course and Beavers Bend State Park - the two items on our list of things to do. The house was a great location and out of the crazy of the town, but close enough to get to what we needed quickly. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and watching movies on the patio, and watching the leaves fall out of the trees. We went out to eat each meal (no fast food to be found) so we really didn’t use the kitchen much, but it seemed like it had items to use if we needed them. Both beds are upstairs and the stairs are steep, which I knew coming in. It was a great place and we’d stay here again.
We are four friends, Senior Gals 65+, that have known each other from childhood. The Shady Chalet was true to it’s name, located not far off the main hwy, yet it felt totally secluded. Even in the dead of winter we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area, especially the hot tub. The house felt very private, with a cozy, quaint vibe. We cooked most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen to be amply stocked with everything we needed. We spent our days playing games and visiting in the living room being kept warm by the electric heater. We would definitely consider renting here again.
I would recommend to the host upgrading the bath towels and fixing a couple of plug covers in the bathroom.
Wonderful. My husband says I choose a place based on the hot tub and he ain't wrong! I didn't even read the reviews before I booked. I'm glad, too. I might have read about the tiny, hard to see path off the highway, the steep stairs, the bathroom downstairs when the bedrooms are upstairs, and past it up to keep looking. It's a wonderful place, truly. The beds are super comfy, the furniture inside and outside is perfect. The fire pit perfect, too. This cabin is truly nestled in the trees. Sure, there are things to gripe about but why? Read the other reviews. Yes, the dishwasher door is broke, don't let it crash on your foot! The outside Directv needed a new code or something but we didn't ask to have it fixed, we didn't care! The remote for the heat/air unit downstairs didn't work but there is a step stool to reach the control panel.
This place is full of ❤️ not just rental income. There are puzzles, games and movies. The decor feels like visiting family and I love that. Super comfy quilts on the beds. We loved this trip.
Cabin location was great and near restaurants, attractions! Cabin size was bigger than usual 1-2 bedroom accommodation. Could use some improvement.
1. Door keypad had issue. Booking email had passcode to unlock but no instructions to lock the door. Safety is a priority to us.
2. Bathroom flooring is not level. There’s a step to use the toilet and also a step to use shower.
You have to make sure you don’t miss the step to avoid falling. Shower could use a grab bar, for safety especially for elderly guests.
3. Stairs going to 2nd floor to the bedroom is about 10 steps and steep. Guests age about 50yrs old and above can be too much especially if you need to use bathroom at night or early morning.
4. Tv volume in the living room cannot be adjusted. You can barely hear it. Tv outside works good, no problem.
5. Hot tub has no roof cover. It was raining when we stayed and couldn’t use it. It would be great if it had a tent roof or cover.
We love going to Broken Bow at least 3 times a year and all the cabins we stayed at had some toiletries. Some soap, shampoo and box of tissue would be great! A few toiletries and condiments will go a long way.
It would be great if picture of the stairs and the bathroom be included or posted on the listing so people can see and informed.
Young adults demographics would love this cabin!
The house and grounds were perfect ! It was great location and an adorable house. We had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone vacationing in the Broken Bow/ Hochatown area!
Quiet and private place surrounded by nature. Really nice! Properly description was accurate as listed. It had everything we needed to relax and have a good time.
Great place to stayVery quite Stairs are steep but not badWould have liked to turn the hot tub down since it was 100 degrees outside but could not figure it out very clean and budget friendly
