Papa Bear- Broken Bow/Hochatown- 1bd

Papa Bear, part of the Bearwoods cabin group on 12 wooded acres, offers a spacious studio for a slow, relaxing getaway. With a king-size bed, large bathroom, & a full-size kitchen, it`s perfect for a `just one more minute` vacation. Enjoy the crackling wood-burning fireplace inside or head to the private deck with a charcoal grill, covered hot tub, & fire pit overlooking the forest. A large level circle drive makes it easy to pull a boat or trailer. Please note, Papa Bear is not pet-friendly.

Papa Bear cabin is part of the Bearwoods cabin group. Sitting on 12 acres bordering the national forest, these three 1 bedroom cabins enjoy peaceful surroundings while still only being minutes from the Park and Lake. The cabins can be rented individually or as a group. Papa Bear and Mama Bear are joined by a shared utility room which remains locked when rented individually or can be left unlocked if rented together.

If you are ready to get comfortable – head out to Papa Bear. This spacious studio/ honeymoon cabin has what you need for a slow, relaxing, “just one more minute” kind of getaway. Inside you will appreciate the king size bed and large bathroom. And we know you are on vacation, but just in case you aren’t in the mood to drive a few minutes down the road to one of several great restaurants, this cabin has a full size ready to cook kitchen. Prepare to spend a few hours in front of the wood burning fireplace because there is nothing better than the crackle of a real fire. If you liked the inside, you will fall in love with the outside. This is relaxation 101; a large private deck overlooking the forest – complete with a charcoal grill to show off your grilling techniques, a private covered hot tub, & chairs around a fire pit. We will let you take it from here!

Thinking about going out on the lake or taking ATVs out to explore? A large level circle drive makes Papa Bear a great cabin to pull a boat or trailer through.

Very nice cabin.

We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the outdoor space and hot tub very much. Only problem was no toaster but we made do with the broiler in the oven. Stove is very small but was fine for just the two of us. We would recommend it for a weekend holiday for a couple.

Relaxing getaway

Most things were quite accommodating. The grill needed some updating was older and had rust holes and didn’t want to break it. The cabin itself was quite comfortable. Shower, water pressure was amazing. Hot tub was extremely relaxing and enjoyable.

Hunters birthday !

So our special day at the cabin was for my husband Hunters 27th birthday ! We brought our son Draco and had all the fun on that back patio ! We absolutely loved the jacuzzi ! Also the privacy was great ! Surrounding neighbors were fun and respectable ! We definitely will be coming back !

The cabin was cute. Needs some maintenance such as drawers and cabinet doors not shutting. Hot tub water was dirty and smelled bad. Needs new cover. It was comfortable in the cabin and I slept well. Just not WOW.

Dirty Bed and living room

The GPS does not direct you to the place and no one gave me directions or a phone number, we were lost for more than 1 hour. When we arrived I noticed that the sofa, the armchair, the cushions were really dirty. The bed cover is red and now looks black with dirt. The cabin was clean, the bathroom very clean, but I suggest washing bedding and cushions, blankets, armchairs. The blanket in the living room is very very dirty. I had to go to town to buy Some blankets. The hot tub water super dirty 😞

Great little cabin

just wanted a little cabin for a getaway weekend with the hubby. I wanted a separate living room from the bedroom, a hot tub and quiet space outside. The PaPa Bear cabin had it all. Great space for just the 2 of us, hot tub was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Just outside of Hochatown, outside of "busy downtown" but still close enough that everything was easily accessible. Loved it and would stay there again for sure

Great place to stay!

Check in was super easy. The property manager was very responsive if needed. The location very secluded but super easy to find. We absolutely loved our stay. The only thing that would have made it that much more great is if there would have been a television where the bed area was because we wanted to watch a movie to go to sleep and relax. Other than that, we highly recommend this rental.

We had a great romantic weekend

We came out just for a weekend to relax and get away from our busy lives. This place hit just the spot the hot tub is perched a top a small hill with a covering and walls shielding from near by rentals.

No what we expected!

Rented this cabin to have a relaxing getaway! The cabin sits 100yrds off of the busy and loud main road. The grounds are shared with another single cabin aswell as the duplex cabin attached to this cabin. Upon arriving the first thing we noticed was that the property was not maintained. The grass was way over grown. Once we got out the first thing i noticed was that the backdeck and "firepit" area was nothing like i thought it would be based off of pictures. Fire pit was nonexistent. Deck was very aged and dirty with broken and loose deck boards. The grill was not as pictured and left dirty. The hottub cover was dirty and torn is has no stairs or anything to get in and out and lights didn't work on it. The outside lighting was way to dim to see at night causing us to use flashlights when being outside. Inside the cabin was okay but not as expected. There was broken window blinds, dated furniture and needed to be cleaned more properly. The fire place was full of ash and the amount of dust by tv was unbelievable. The extra linens was rolled up and tossed in the closest against waterheater wasnt sure if they was clean or not so we didnt bother with them at all! Cabin has wifi but has a smaller outdated tv with very limited channels and no way to watch any of the streaming outlets netflix etc.. This cabin has great potential with better care, maintenance and a few upgraded amenities. In short this felt more like a hunting cabin than a 220 a night luxury cabin.
