"We had a very good 2 night stay at Le Grand Hôtel de l'Espérance in Lisieux. The room was basic but very clean and practical. They still provided a kettle and tea and coffee. A mini fridge would have been nice though. The bathroom had shower only but it had a good amount of storage space. We had one dinner in their restaurant which was good and good value for money. The service was good and efficient, even though the restaurant was full and only one person serving. The breakfast was excellent. They had 2 Camembert style cheeses, Emmental, spicy sausages as the hot option, hard boiled eggs, good quality cold cooked ham, good grilled ham, yoghurt, croissants, 2 types of homemade cake, fruit salad, and one of the best apple pies we have ever eaten. The selection was constantly replenished. The people at the reception very friendly and professional. If we were to visit Lisieux again, we would stay there again."

"Wasn’t easy to find, but was safe. The pool was not for swimming in. The owners and staff were very friendly, the rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet."

"Ideale pour une famille, nombreux couchage et cuisine fonctionnelle. L extérieure permet de nombreuses activités poir les petits comme pour les grands.La piscine sera a tester lors d une prochaine location.Endroit calme et sécurisé. Génial !!"

"Check in was easy and fast. Hotel was spotless and brightly lit. Very colourful interior. Rooms while small felt spacious. Shopping just across the road. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Budget price but got so much more. Fantastic hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel "
