"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"The hotel was empty and for the price very nice. The people having it was so friendly, and we had the best pommes of our trip. They were amazing. Very nice spot to have as start point for the very nice area. Do take the old train from Drei Annan hoche - we loved it"

"Jeg boede på hotellet i en uge, sammen med min søn. Han sidder i kørestol så derfor er det vigtigt at tingene fungerer. Det var et fantastisk sted og alt fungerer, beliggenheden er også perfekt udgangspunkt til udflugter og byen super hyggelig. Værelserne og indretningen er gennemført og nyt og lækkert. Ekstra lækkert var saunaen."

"Vandet i poolen var for koldt. Den ene morgen var der ikke vandtryk på badeværelset. Der burde være kode til cykelkælder i stedet for nøgle der skulle hentes og afleveres med samme i receptionen."

"Rigtig pæn og ren lejlighed. Sengene var meget behagelige (også sovesofaen). Der manglede dog nogle større knive (brødkniv mm.) i køkkenet, men det er også det eneste “negative” omkring hele lejligheden. Parkeringen var nem og gratis, med parkering lige ude foran. Kan kun anbefales. "
