This separately situated, classically modern, and lovingly furnished holiday rental in a historic farmhouse is located in our small, romantic, park-like complex, nestled in the enchanting natural surroundings of South Jutland with its lovely rolling hills near the beach. Service areas (fully automatic coffee machine, beer tap, CD and DVD rental, etc.) with a “small laundry room,” art gallery, and library are located in the adjacent historic barn.
The 40,000-square-meter natural property, which has no livestock, consists, on the one hand, of an unspoiled area with mowed hiking trails and the historic “Gendarmenstieg” (a European-quality hiking trail), surrounded by hedges and forest, and, on the other hand, of a park-like guest area with lounge chairs, a garden pavilion, and an ecological orchard meadow.
There is plenty of space for activities and relaxation, including a pygmy goat pen, a small sports field with a football goal, basketball and badminton nets with various accessories, a grill and fire pit, a tree terrace in a beech tree, and benches for resting with a view of the sea. There is also idyllic access to the nearby beach, as well as biking and hiking trails offering diverse beach and forest scenery around the Broagerland Peninsula.
Excellent swimming opportunities at both lively and secluded beaches. Excellent shopping and very good restaurants in nearby Sønderborg and Flensburg. A wide range of cultural activities on both sides of the border, including active pursuits such as hiking, cycling, horseback riding, fishing, scuba diving, sailing, golf, steamboat cruises, surfing, and much more. The modern, cosy apartment—furnished with many decorative accessories and original works of art—is located in an attractive farmhouse and is available year-round for a stimulating holiday or even a longer retreat in inspiring surroundings.
Thanks to its interconnected rooms, the spacious apartment (100 square metres for 2 people) has an open, bright, and modern feel. All rooms have central heating. In the small, private sunroom, you’ll find yourself nestled in nature.
The elegant furnishings—featuring a blend of classic-modern and antique Chinese furniture, oak parquet flooring, unique accessories, a library of rare books, and many original works of art—create an exceptionally stimulating and unique atmosphere. Rooms:
Spacious entryway with coat rack and closet; south-facing dining room; kitchen fully equipped for self-catering with ample counter space, fridge-freezer combo, 4-burner ceramic cooktop, oven, dishwasher, sink, and a height-adjustable dining and work table. Study with a collection of antiquarian books, bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and vanity (designer fixtures), bedroom with a double box-spring bed (2 x 90/200 mattresses) and a stereo system, spiral staircase leading to the large, bright living area in the attic with sofas, satellite TV (German-language channels), stereo system, DVD player, and access to the sunroom.

A lawn for sunbathing and relaxing, a garden pavilion, and a cosy tree-lined terrace for picnics and balmy summer evenings, as well as a Hollywood swing overlooking the orchard with a view of the sea. Our common areas in the historic farmhouse are a very special attraction. There you’ll find, among other things, an art gallery, an extensive German-language library with over 1,000 books, a DVD collection with about 200 films of all genres, board games, a fully automatic coffee machine, a beer tap, a washing machine, a dryer, and much more.
