***IMPORTANT NOTICE - LAKE SAM RAYBURN WATER LEVELS: Please be advised that the water levels are currently very low due to ongoing dam repair operations being conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As part of this work, water is being drained from the lake. There is no projected completion date for these repairs at this time.
While we understand that lake access and water activities may be an important part of your visit, we want to be transparent about current conditions. Boat and water access in the cove are not possible at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: Refunds will not be issued due to low water levels, as this situation is beyond our control and has been clearly communicated in advance.

Welcome to our beautiful lakefront cabin on Lake Sam Rayburn Reservoir near Broaddus, TX. This lake house is perfect for anglers, hunters, and families. Located less than five minutes from Broaddus, TX and the Jackson Hill Marina you will be close to stores, restaurants, and boat access while still feeling you are away from it all. Zavalla is twelve miles away and Cassels-Boykin public access is only ten miles away.

Walk less than one hundred feet and you are at the shore of a sheltered cove that is great for swimming, fishing and boating. Photography and birding possibilities abound-- regularly seen are bald eagles, cranes, egrets, hawks, turtles, otters, and deer.

For the anglers we have tried to meet your needs: conveniently located exterior outlets for charging your equipment and shoreline tie-offs for your boat if you so desire. The fishing here is amazing as well, with large-mouth and other assorted bass, crappie, gar and catfish waiting to hit your lines.

Hunters staying here will be pleasantly surprised at how close they are to hunting in the Angelina National Forest just a few minutes from the property.

For the chefs and foodies out there we have a fully furnished kitchen with all the utensils and cookware you need to make your culinary masterpiece. In addition we have a gas grill on an outside patio for the BBQ aficionados.

This home has wifi and internet TV with Sling, Netflix, Hulu, etc. For the kids and young at heart we have board games, dominoes, cards, etc. Not to mention our fire pit where hot dogs and marshmallows find their proper tasty end.

Perfect weather for anything . We had a guide take us crappie fishing and caught our limit. The nice thing is after fishing all day wr had some place to come back to relax and be comfortable .Thanks.

After Christmas getaway

Perfect place to unwind from holiday rush, unplug and catch up with family. Peaceful location on a secluded cove. We took nice walks, caught (and released) fish and basically relaxed.

Erin and Brian are really sweet and just good people. Our stay even with the rain was great, peaceful and restful. The cabin was nice and quiet, loved it all and the fishing was good as well.

Wonderful weekend

Enjoyed the view of the lake. Also enjoyed the back porch and all the windows on the back of the house. Would consider inviting others to come with us if there were two bathrooms.

This house was nestled in a quiet area on the lake perfect for our weekend get away. Great communication with the owners. We needed batteries and they were there real quick to fix our remote lighting issue.

Father’s Day weekend

Great weekend get away for the Fathers and Sons in our family. House had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Lake level was 6.5 ft above pool so bank fishing was much easier for the Grandpa in our group. This was our third stay here and won’t be our last.

An amazing getaway

Our stay was amazing this little getaway house was right on the lake where you can walk just a few feet and fish and it has its own fire pit outside where you can sit make a fire and just relax and watch the water. I recommend this property to everyone it was just amazing. We had a blast. If there was a way to leave more than just five stars, I would it deserves more stars.

Little piece of Heaven

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Though the weather was very hot we had a good time and the fishing was awesome. Nice to be able to pull the boat up at the property and charge our boat. Will definitely do it again.

Great place!

My husband and I and our dog stayed for a few days during the week and it was very peaceful. Weather could not have been more perfect. Lake house is very comfortable and well stocked with pots/pans, towels and basic household essentials. Great backyard with hammock and firepit. We launched our kayak right from behind house. Great cove for paddling around. We will be back.Host is quickly responsive. ccomfortable

Wonderful Getaway

I give this house A 10/10. Everything we needed , lots of room , and a wonderful view of the lake. We had had plenty of space to park 2 trucks with boats and another car. Boat ramp is right around the corner making the lake access super easy. I love the spacious back porch where you can sit and enjoy the evenings watching the sunset over the water. This house was exactly what I was looking for to enjoy a birthday getaway at the lake.

Slice of paradise

This location had all the amenities of home, quite neighborhood, boat ramps within 5 minutes of location, places to eat from 5 to 25 minutes of location and was able to park the boats on the water just 50 yards out the back door. the only complaint I have is that there wasn't an electrical outlet near the water to charge the boat batteries and could use a third parking spot. overall, very satisfied with accommodations and the view.

Very relaxing by the water

We had a perfect stay. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch or by the water. The house came filled with just about everything you need! It was very quiet. There we a lot of fish hitting the water! Even got to see a bald eagle perfect 33rd anniversary getaway. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home

Perfect Lake Getaway

We enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect for us, and budget friendly; especially since pets are welcome. The house is very cozy with all basic items provided. The couches and bed are very comfortable. Everything works well, especially the air conditioning and fans. The back porch is the best! We loved the waterfront access. It would have been great if the weather was perfect, but unfortunately there was rain which led to tons of “gumbo mud”! There is a water hose conveniently on the deck for easy clean up. The muddy bank was not fun, but we won’t let that stop us from booking another stay!! The hosts are very helpful and communicate well!

It was just as described, lovely and peaceful. I was told ahead of time that the water level was low due to the damn being open. I chose to rent anyway and i am glad i did. Great little property tucked away in a quiet area.
