Clean but unresponsive.
The hotel didn't have a check in area, and we had to figure it out to pick up the keys at the gas station across the motel. We tried calling but no one answered the phone. The shower was broken and we couldn't reach out to anyone to get it fixed or have a shower. So we had to leave without getting a shower.

Check-in is across the parking lot at a gas station. You have to wait in line with gas station customers. Rooms were dated and noisy. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The setting is delightful. Lovely lake right outside. But the rooms are not very comfortable. The floors are cold, the bedding is old, the place is drafty. And there is really no place to eat on a Monday or Tuesday. Even on Sunday we could not find a restaurant with eat in service.
