"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are 8 visual artists who have rented this house every year for the past 10 years or so. We stay a week, plein air (on-site) painting everyday all day through out the area.It's an old house with some of the original windows. Vacation up north is very receptive to all our concerns and just a phone call away. It's beautiful location with wonderful views"

"We absolutely loved our long weekend here. Cameron greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel like we had made a great choice. The location is close to Empire and Traverse City, but far enough away that it was very tranquil. Cameron and his family were very nice. We had plenty of space, and the full bathroom inside the barn was a nice addition. We didn't have time to use the fire pit, but that was a nice touch as well. We would definitely stay here again!"

"What an amazing place to stay. Freshly married couple that absolutely loved this farm setting. Seemingly 20 or so minutes from everywhere we wanted to go and the decor was stunning. Petting the beautiful horses was so cool as well. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again."

"Bob and Caroline are wonderful hosts. My sister and I always have a wonderful time at the cottage. We will definitely be going back next year. It is in a great location for getting around Leelanau Peninsula and Traverse City area. Just beautiful."

"Quaint and quiet. Away from the bustle of town. Excellent for couples looking to get out to the country. The room is comfortable and spacious for two. The deck offers a spectacular view of sunrise and sunsets. The host Sue lives on site and makes the most fabulous breakfast. We looked forward to her cooking every morning delivered to our room. A great value. Definitely would return. 10/10"

"The property was great! The house was very clean and comfortable, and check-in was easy. The lake was a perfect size with excellent fishing (mostly bass and bluegill). We used the pontoon a lot and didn’t even go through half of the gas provided, so that was a very nice perk. Kayaks were great, too. We also enjoyed both firepits - one up near the house and one on the dock. There were 3 Adirondack chairs in good condition and several other plastic outdoor chairs. The deck had a nice 6-seat outdoor table, and the charcoal grill was in good shape. Kitchen was well-stocked but would benefit from having a nonstick pan.Docking one star for some of the issues we experienced while we were there. The biggest issue was that the water was extremely iron-y. No big deal for drinking as we just bought water bottles, but the smell was pretty bad for brushing teeth and showering. The biggest issue was that the iron in the water stained our clothes in the laundry to the point of ruining some items. It made the washing machine completely unusable for light colored items. A few other maintenance issues were encountered throughout the house, but the hosts resolved them very quickly. Overall, the hosts were extremely communicative and paid to replace our ruined clothes, but it was not a fun thing to deal with.If you’re looking for an upscale camping vibe with great amenities, this fits the bill. We would definitely stay here again, just wouldn’t do laundry!"
