The quality of service is second to none I have experienced, the food is Michelin star quality and the rooms and decor is impressive. The owners have done an amazing job at operating this resort. "We really enjoyed and took advantage of the outdoor area - the deck, the pool, the view. We visited during off season so the outdoor grill was crucial - we used it multiple times. The kitchen was also laid out well and had pretty much everything we needed to prepare meals. Be aware that the main living area is not air conditioned. It wasn’t a huge deal as we could open doors to screens and get some air flow while cooking - and otherwise we spent most our time outside. Bedrooms are air conditioned. Overall the house was adequate for us (a single couple staying for a week). The house very was clean upon arrival; however, it could use some touchups/minor updates/maintenance before I would consider it “luxurious” as indicated in the description. Nothing major, just adjust your expectations a bit if you are expecting something super high end. All in all, no regrets."

"We were very pleased with the accommodations at Makere cottage and would highly recommend it to any travelers looking for a place to kick back and relax. The view from property is incredible and we enjoyed having our morning coffee on the veranda daily. The instruction package provided by the host was very helpful, effective and accurate. The private pool was impeccable, the cottage was very clean, comfortable, and took care of all our needs. There is so much to explore on the island, visiting Smugglers Cove, Cane Garden Bay, Long Beach resort, and even took a ferry to Virgin Gorda. We followed the hosts suggestions and got a taxi from the airport and used Jerrys Jeep Rental. Everything was flawless for our trip!"

"We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Tortola. The villa was absolutely stunning, incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing Caribbean getaway. The views were breathtaking and the location was perfect for enjoying Cane Garden Bay and exploring the island. We especially loved spending time by the pool and watching the sunsets from the villa. It was the perfect place to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary, and made our trip feel incredibly special. We would highly recommend it and would happily stay again!"

"The space was beautiful, and between the wrap around porch and the gorgeous view, I could not wait to wake up each morning and open up the all the doors! The home reminded me of the South of France, open air, clean and very welcoming. We loved pulling down the driveway through the gates into our little piece of paradise. Having beaches, restaurants and beach bars so close by was a plus! Our favorite beach of all time was Smugglers Cove - quiet, gorgeous and worth the ride! Lots of great memories! We will be back. ; )"

"Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Whale Watch. Everything was as advertised. It really is a private location, and has great views of Brewers Bay. I read a lot of comments about the road access to the property, and yes it isn’t paved but never did I need to put the Jeep in 4WD. Just take it slow and enjoy the ride! Plenty of other roads on Tortola just like it. We would definitely stay here again."

"Kirk and Heather were incredibly hospitable hosts—truly outstanding. They checked in early to make sure our stay got off to a great start and were always quick, helpful, and genuinely willing whenever we needed anything.Brewers Bay is absolutely spectacular—easily one of our favorite bays in all of the BVIs. The private beach is stunning, and the snorkeling is exceptional. We saw a turtle, a stingray, a cuttlefish, the largest puffer fish we’ve ever encountered, and an incredible variety of beautifully colored marine life. It was unforgettable.We especially loved our evenings on the porch—relaxing, having dinner, and playing games as a family. There’s also a short hike to a nearby bat cave that we really enjoyed, with a rewarding beautiful view at the end. The private beach is just down the hill, which we didn’t find difficult at all, but we also appreciated being able to drive two minutes to the beach on the other side of the bay for easy access and even more great snorkeling spots.I can’t say enough positive things about both the hosts and the accommodations. Everything exceeded expectations, and it was a fantastic experience all around. We would absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!"
