"This is an older but suuuuper clean hotel! The bathroom was emasculate and the carpet was spotless. It was the perfect find while traveling through!"

"Everything was quality. Cleanliness, updated rooms, service. There was a golf cart driver to run you up for breakfast. It was close to the lake AND close to the dock to Mackinaw, a block or two and very walkable. You could even walk to downtown if you'd like. Of curse, right on the lake with a huge hotel shoreline. Buy some lunch and use a picnic table to take it all in. "

"The internet worked well in our room. Really nice view from the lodge. Very accomodating staff. Hot food choices on the breakfast."

"Charming! I chose it for an overnight to break up our drive to the Porcupine Mountains. After we arrived, I realized that Birch Lodge IS the destination! Our downstairs bedroom, parlor and bathroom were very spacious. The porch reminded me of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island! Bring food as the eateries in the village are lame. I was hoping for whitefish at McGowan's but it was closed and looks like its for sale."
