Relax at this tranquil waterfront retreat on the Atchafalaya River. Bird lovers and nature enthusiasts can appreciate the sounds and sites of this retreat. Large gathering space for cooking and entertainment in the adjacent outdoor building. Experience authentic Louisiana living with Cajun culture and Southern hospitality. Perfectly located 1/4 mile to explore the vast Atchafalaya Basin, the largest swamp in the U.S., and nearby swamp tours, ATV and hiking trails, Cajun restaurants, and towns like Breaux Bridge 10 minutes, Lafayette 15-20 minutes, and Baton Rouge 45 minutes. The property features private mother-in-law king suite for added privacy. 0.25 miles off 1-10 exit at Butte La Rose. This exit has a free public boat launch and a visitors center with exhibits and information on things to do in our area. We are 10-20 minutes from great restaurants and tours. The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please put towels to wash and dry before leaving. You can leave the dryer running on the way out. No need to make the beds. Please just leave the bedcovers undone.
Don't put loose garbage in the blue bins. Help keep Louisiana clean from preventing loose debris from spilling into our waterways. All trash should be put in blue bins outside.
Set all thermostats to 75 if using AC and in winter months put on 60 if heater mode is on. Check to make sure the gas stove knobs are in off position.

This cabin was beautiful, the scenery was excellent. The cabin had everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable! The screened in patio area was wonderful, and the walk way down to the deck had lights that switched on when you were walking at night. That was a plus! The outdoor kitchen was where we spent most of our time, it had everything to keep our family entertained, from a huge tv to plenty of space to let the kids run free. Tammy was an amazing host, she gave us ideas of things to do around the area. And made sure our stay was perfect, this is going to be our only place we stay when we come to town! Everything about this cabin was hands down more than we expected!
