An old elegant Lady of a hotel. Furnishing and carpets a bit old fashioned but clean and well kept. Location couldn’t be better to enjoy Braunschweig at its best!

Wunderschön!

Hotel is incredibly charming with a true German Gasthaus feel. The rooms are palatial, with those facing the Burgplatz offering fairy tale views, including of the famous Braunschweig lion. Some have balconies. Breakfast, Serben in a Great hall is fabulous and worth the extra charge. Staff couldn’t friendlier or more helpful.

Preis-Leistung passt einfach nicht. Wenn mit renovierten Bädern geworben wird, aber das Bad aus 1980 ist, passt es nicht. Erst recht nicht, wenn dafür noch über 140€ verlangt wird. Zimmer + Bad max. 80€ Niveau im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels. Frühstück das Gleiche: 19€...

Ein ringsum schönes Hotel.

Wir lieben das Hotel. Es hat Würde, Eleganz, Qualität und sehr freundliches, kompetentes Personal. Etwas ärgerlich war, dass das WLAN-Passwort nicht in den Zommerunterlagen zu finden war, als die Rezeption schon nicht mehr besetzt war.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Hotel Deutsches Haus. Die Lage am Rande der Fußgängerzone ist top, Bushaltestelle vorm Haus, Tramstation am Rathaus in 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus ist beeindruckend und sauber. Die Zimmer, wir hatten 2 Einzelzimmer gebucht, waren sauber und zweckmäßig. Es gab viel Ablagemöglichkeiten. Minibar war auch vorhanden. Von manchen Rezensionen, die Zimmer seinen altbacken und 70er Jahre, keine Spur. Leider war mein Zimmer zur Straße und es war sehr laut, nicht durch den Verkehr, sondern durch Passanten und Besucher der Gaststätte gegenüber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr vielfältig und reichhaltig. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl. Gerne wieder!

Die Vorhänge in meinem Zimmer waren zu schmal und zu kurz, um das Zimmer ausreichend abzudunkeln. Darüber hinaus lag das Zimmer zur Straße und regelmäßig vorbeifahrende Busse waren sehr laut zu hören. Ein erholsamer Schlaf war leider nicht möglich.
