Wonderful get away

Perfect location for a family vacation, walking distance to everything you need. Quite street at night and Rex is very responsive host. Our family had a great vacation here this year!

Cortez Beach with Pool

This location was wonderful. Cortez Beach was across the street and the pool and hot tub provided the additional fun to the location. The owner provides all the water toys and even camp chairs to use at the beach. Restaurants and historic Bridge Street is approximately 1/4 mile away.

The two bedrooms had very comfy beds. It was nice having his & hers bathrooms so we didn’t have to share! The kitchen was newly updated with nice appliances and well equipped. The cherry on top was the beautiful pool and hot tub! We definitely will be back!

great outside

the pool area was awesome. all of the toys-paddle boards kayaks bikes pin pong etc. were awesome. location was great. only downside was interior is dated and they use window mount a/cs to cool the house and they are extremely noisy.

Property is clean. Pool is nice. Recommend for couple. Parking at beach during day is available if you have more than two vehicles. My son and his girlfriend visited the night of his birthday so be sure to use offsite parking if you have more than two vehicles at any point. Unfortunately we had lots of rain but when the sun came out we enjoyed the pool and the grill.

Girls trip

It was as girls trip with friends of 40 years. The place is in a great location to the beach. The pool is great. We are returning in September with one more friend that was unable to go with us. Rex and his wife Michelle are great host. They are making many improvements on the downstairs duplex. We had drain problems one night and they put us up in a condo the owned down the street. We love AMI

Great location and amazing pool

We were very happy with our stay here when visiting Anna Maria Island. This property was a very good value. Great location, clean, comfortable bed, amazing pool and the amenities such as the beach chairs and umbrella and bikes were a huge plus.

Overall Good.

It was a nice place but the flood issue needs to be fixed. We loved the pool. The inside of the house was just average. Not very fancy. The one bedroom didn’t have an outlet which was inconvenient. Beds were comfortable.

Decent house, pool is not private

The house is pretty well depicted in the photos. There is not central ac which in some of photos you can see window units. Window units are fine but these seem to struggle to effectively cool the bedrooms. In the rules your are also instructed to not change the temperature of the units and to use a fan if hot but there is not a ceiling fan in the rooms. The pool is an amazing addition along with the hot tub. However the pool is not private and is shared with the other floor of the house which we did not realize until arriving and another family was in the pool. Looking back at the post it does not say it is a shared pool but it does have a link that shows the other floor. It's not a deal breaker to share the pool especially if the other renters enjoy the same things as you. The first Set of tenants were very similar to us (30s couple) so sharing was ok but definitely cuts in on both occupants quite time. The second group of tenants had 4 small children and invited other families over the pool with their families. On our last night there were at least 10 people in the pool where it was unusable to us. Pictured in the post is an expensive mirrored window that's fine during the day but at night anyone in the pool can see right through the house and there are no curtains for privacy. Being on the bottom floor we heard every footstep of our upstairs neighbors. The owner seemed nice but when I asked if there was a certain setting the pool should be left on at night he seemed annoyed and mentioned we shouldn't really touch the control panel even though there were instructions in the extensive list of rules on how to operate the panel to turn on the hot tub blower, lights, and heat the hot tub. The next morning a pool company was out testing and telling us does and don'ts of the pool. The rules were much stricter then any house I've stayed in, one example being if you smoke or vape on the property you will be police escorted off the property?? This rule was not applicable to us and I completely understand keeping a smoke free house and appreciate it but it just seems excessive. I would still recommend this house to family's that have kids, the kayak and paddle boards on site is an awesome bonus and the pool is far better then alot of other rentals we have stayed at and seen on the island. The location could not be better being such a close walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall we still enjoyed ourselves but wanted to share our entire experience

We had a great stay at this property. The kids LOVED the pool and it was very convenient being able to walk to many shops and restaurants. The property had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Quick trip down for sunshine over holiday weekend

Great place

This was our second time staying at this place. The location and the pool are the best thing about this place. Also, there are so many extras there as well like kayaks, paddle boards, nice beach chairs, umbrellas and lots of toys for the kids. Will definitely come again.

Convenient and everything you need!

Our family had a wonderful time at this convenient location! We were able to experience kayaking and stand up paddle boarding at the bay, which are available on the property, and bicycling. The pool was amazing! Walking distance to Bridge Street and to the beach. We will be back!

Great place, great location

The Cortez resort was fantastic! My wife and I really enjoyed the house and the back patio/pool. Kids also loved it, really enjoying the pool. It's a stones throw to the beach and a short walk to Bridge street stores, restaurants, and pier. Rex had his place very clean and offered all essential amenities - cookware, grill, books, internet, and cable tv. We hope to be back!

Location

Location of the property was perfect to accessing the beach. A short walk away and you found yourself with an array of options for dining, shops and restaurants! Lots to do right around the corner. Rental property provided a lot of options to keep you busy as well from the bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. We found the pool to be our favorite spot for the weekend.
