Bring your friends and family together at Lake Gaston 6BR/4B- Kayaks Included

Formerly known as "Ski 5." Under new ownership with updates underway. Perfect getaway for a family or large group of friends! This beautiful 6 bedroom home is right on the lake and has amazing views from the living room and two master bedrooms. Relax and enjoy the views from the large deck that was made for entertaining, the private upstairs screened in porch or the dock that is great for fishing. Feel free to tie up your boat to the dock during your stay(lift is unavailable). Enjoy the ping pong table in the sun room or pick out one of our board games to play at the huge dining room table. Feel free to take the kayaks out for a relaxing cruise!

With 6 bedrooms, there is plenty of room for everyone. The upper level has 1 master suite with a king bed and 1 master suite with a queen bed. The third bedroom on the upper level has a double bed with a twin bunk. There are three bedrooms on the lower level with a queen bed. The upstairs master bedroom has access to the upstairs screened in porch with view of the lake and private bathroom. This bedroom has a queen size bed and a day bed to accommodate additional sleepers. The master suite has a second kitchen and a king size bed in the bedroom. The suite also has a private bathroom and access to the screened in porch.

Charlie's Place is located in a quiet golfing community, Tanglewood Shores. You are able to launch your boat at the public boat ramp just a mile away from the entrance to our neighborhood. For a fee, you can have access to the recreational area within our community. This community park also has a swimming area, playground, covered shelter with a grill, a volleyball and basketball court. There is access to the 9 hole golf course you can play, greens fees and cart fees apply. Grocery stores and the marina are close by. Rosemont Winery is just down the road with tours and tastings. Wal-mart and a small movie theater are in the next town over.

Get everyone together and enjoy all this home has to offer! Please reserve early to make sure you get your first choice of weeks.

Relaxing!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own space. The views were beautiful, and the setting was peaceful—exactly what we were looking for. The kids especially loved the ping-pong table, and there were lots of great spots to gather, eat, and unwind. It was a great mix of fun and relaxation. We'd definitely come back!

Peace and Quiet in a spacious house

Our family had a wonderful stay in this house close to the lake. It was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake from the top screened in porch, on the large deck or at the fire pit.

Great Get Away

We were very happy with this property. Large enough and beautiful views. Kids enjoyed ping pong and swimming and we enjoyed having enough space for everyone. Will likely book again. Great communication. Parking is limited but we were able to make it work.

We had a terrific stay. The house was super comfortable. Awesome floor plan. Loved 2 kitchens. One of our new favorites homes. Adam was a great communicator. The driveway was a bit of a challenge but worth it.

Lake stay

Large, beautiful property that is well taken care of. But, if you tow a boat it is a hard place to store it on the trailer. Otherwise it is spacious and very easily accommodates multiple families and has a nice sprawling outdoor area and dock.

Fun with friends

The house was spotless when we arrived. Communication with the owner was great. Loved the separate kitchen and living room upstairs if you wanted to get away from the main area for quiet time. Fun with the kayaks the dock and boathouse was clean. Large deck/patio.would book again without hesitation.

Great House on a Tranquil Lake

This was our 2nd year at this house and for the 2nd year it was excellent. The owners, Adam and Ana, do a great job in maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the house. There is ample room for the entire family to spread out. The cover dock is perfect to hang, read a book and have a few drinks. The lake is terrific to swim, kayak or just float on a tube. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Pure Perfection

We had a great visit with our children and grandchildren. Our family boat was a great hit and the children wave boarded, went tubing, and enjoyed the water. There are panoramic views of the beautiful lake from the rear of the property. You can swim, float and hang out by the dock. Very spacious house that housed 13 of us very well. All the children and grandchildren said it was one of the best vacations our family has taken. Enjoy!

Lake Getaway

We needed a place to celebrate 3 April birthdays...with 3 separate family groups. There were 8 of us so there was plenty of room for all of us. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Two kitchens and two living rooms. We spent the time swimming in the lake, kayaking, playing ping pong, and playing games. We all had a great time!

GREAT Week at Lake Gaston

Our two sons, their wives and three very young grandchildren (5, 3 & 6 mos,) were very comfortable because of complete “apartments” upstairs & downstairs. The outside areas gave us plenty of options for socializing, especially the fire pit and the boathouse/dock. We anchored a large floating mat away from the dock, and it became a perfect swimming area for the kids and adults. We also enjoyed the two kayaks to explore the lake. It was ALL LAKE ALL THE TIME!

Terrific Lake Front House

What a great house right on the water. For 8 adults and a toddler, there was plenty of space to spread and not be on top of each other. The owners, Adam and Ana, have done a terrific job in making the home feel comfy. The house was clean and in good working condition. The dock was a nice size to just hang and having the 2 kayaks was very handy. We loved it so much, already booked to return next year. Dates starting to fill up. Thanks Adam and Ana!!

80th birthday family reunion

This 6-bedroom home allowed us to all gather for a multi-generational family birthday. The house offers lots of space for everyone to have room for activities: 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, a glass enclosed porch with ping pong table, a screened porch, a large dining area and expansive decks. There is a dock to tie up a rental boat. The owner supplied toys for kids, lots of videos to watch during quiet times, and all of the dishes, glasses and appliances you could need. The house is in good shape though the driveway is difficult to navigate. We all had a good time and the owner was wonderful to deal with.

The Lake

Loved the home gave us plenty of space for all our family. Easy access to the lake and loved the covered dock for hanging out. Our issue was the driveway. It did not work for us. Too steep and not enough room for parking. Also it would be very helpful to have the house number posted some where. The host was very responsive and very easy to deal with. Thank you for sharing your home with us😊

Fantastic Family Space for Vacation

So much to love about our stay here! Room for everyone, with two full kitchens was ideal for our group. We were traveling with our parents, so having the separate living space for them to retire to was ideal. Plenty of spaces to spread out and and be together - Outstanding for our group of 9 ranging in age from 31 to 85! We spent a lot of time on the dock, and floating in the water reconnecting. We brought our own "floaties" but there were plenty of options there. Several kayak trips were taken. Just want to note that the water is shallow at the end of the dock and in the entire cove. Definitely cannot jump/dive into the water, but we all adjusted just fine since we're grown ups! A GREAT vacation was had by all, and our host Adam was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome house with us!

Embracing Bracey

I wish I could have given the location 4.5 stars instead of 4 since it was only minor and typical issues with the surroundings. The home was terrific and very clean for a place that allows pets. I suffer this issue because my wife has to bring our 7 lb. yorkie mix with the family gatherings. Yes there are some things that are being worked on, but for a seasonal lake house it's kept up very well. The driveway is gravel and a bit steep, so it's probably best to back down since there's very little to no turn around room once you and a second car arrive. You can bury a 3rd car and use 2 easily, when facing out. there is a spot on top for a boat trailer as well. The lake was shallow and very warm in mid July. The water was a little murky. The bottom was more firm out off the end of the dock and a much better swim area. Shopping was an 18 minute drive to a Food Lion in Littleton, NC. The owner I spoke to "Adam" was both friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great stay.

We had a wonderful time at this property! There were plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone and the outside space is perfection! The dock is so lovely, we spent most of our time there. House was wonderful, description does not do it justice. More than enough room to not be on top of each other if you have adults and kids. Communication with Adam was excellent host even with a late night call. check in a breeze welcome notebook was one of the best, thank you for explaining the remotes for the TV. AND.. labeling the light switches, no guessing!! Would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home.
