Spacious and inviting home

We enjoyed our stay for the 2nd time there for my extended family. We love the setting on the lake and rented a boat and spent a lot of the time in the water or relaxing on the property. It accommodated our large group well and Shannon is a great host, willing to do whatever to ensure we have a great experience.. Don’t hesitate, book it before someone else.

Great Getaway with Easy Lake Access and Great Amenities!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The vacation rental was perfect for our group, including three toddlers. The space was immaculate and well-equipped. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We loved the easy lake access and the variety of water toys provided. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience!

My friends and I traveled here for our Fall Break from college for a simple retreat and it had everything we could have wanted. The hosts were phenomenal and made it such a seamless process and the property was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this property to people looking for a nice relaxing weekend!

Great Family Vacation

The house was big enough to accommodate all 20 of us. It was clean when we arrived, and everything was as stated in the listing. The owners were very helpful and answered my questions quickly. The location was on a quiet cove and the kids enjoyed the lake. Good location for a family get away!

family vacation on Lake Gaston

This was a fantastic property for our annual family vacation. Our group included 8 adults, 1 teen, 4 kids over age 9, and 3 kids under age 6. The layout was great for our needs with the families with younger children having the space they needed for naps and earlier bedtimes, older/teen children having dedicated areas, and each adult couple having their own bedroom. The common areas were nice, there was more than enough parking for our 4 vehicles. There was a DG Market within 5 miles and a Walmart within 25 minutes. The dock was the highlight of the property for our family. The water was deep enough to dive into safely from the end of the dock and we had many hours of fun on the paddle boards and water trampoline. I recommend bringing your own lifejackets as there were not many on site and none were for smaller bodies.

Family trip

Great week at Lake Gaston! The house was perfect for us! It was fully stocked…..the hosts thought of everything!! The location of the home was great! It was in a quiet alcove with quick access to main lake. Enjoying boating, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding! The main living area was great for all twelve of us to hangout in the evenings. Will definitely rebook again!!

One of our nicest family vacations

Anything you need is there, especially if you have a boat. A son-in-law from New York State towed his boat and was able to launch it at the nearby marina. The “kids” (age 15-26) tubed, paddle boarded, and used various floating devices. Of course, there was the highly contested family corn hole tournament. In other words, we had fun.

Family vacation

We had a lovely time at Shannon’s place. Our 95 year old matriarch and her 97 yr old best friend joined us. The house setup is ideal for large gatherings. Not only are there beds everywhere, there are 2 sets of washers and dryers, 3 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses and good silverware. Enough for any large event. Water access was perfect for us as well. Shannon is a marvelous host.

Great house as advertised

Not much else around here, but the house has a lot to offer that makes it not matter much. Lots of things for the kids to do and lots of elbow room for the adults. The kids bunk beds are more or less in the hallway so it isn’t private and quiet at all but the boys were so tired from swimming that it didn’t matter either. Kitchen is very well equipped.

Great family vacation!

The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. The owner quickly responded to all questions and was friendly and helpful. One thing to be aware of if the bunk area is not a separate room but an open space connected to the theater room that is a pass though to the downstairs. It is not conducive to light sleepers. Overall my family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house.

Fun four family get away with kids in preteens

We highly recommend this house. Ophelia came through and made Saturday a complete washout, but there was so much to do in this house and the house was so nice to hang out in as a group beautiful open concept, spacious living area, and plenty of room for the kids to go elsewhere to get away from the adults. Pool table, ping pong and tons of board games and just some good old fashioned porch sitting made rainy day a great day. The owners were very nice and responses. We have no complaints.

Great place to stay!

We rented this house for an extended family getaway and couldn’t have been happier! The house is so spacious and well laid out. There are plenty of places to be all together or to have quiet time inside and out. The pool table, ping pong table, theater room, and air hockey table provided hours of fun for our family. We were impressed by the kitchen’s stock of utensils, plates, serving ware, small appliances, and pretty much anything and everything we could have needed. By far, the best we’ve seen. There are two dishwashers and sinks, which freed us from spending much time hand washing dishes and being in each others’ way. The view of Lake Gaston is breathtaking! The grounds, lake access, and pier add to all of the great amenities inside the house. We made so many wonderful memories on this trip and would absolutely stay again!

Hottest Week of the Summer

Overall the house was excellent for out large family of 13. The 2 dishwashers, 2 sink and 2 refrigerators, 2 washer and dryers were amazing to keep everything organized. We only went out to dinner one night. The Pointe, has amazing food and we feed the large fish and Shannon responded quickly to any questions and concerns. The A/C was not working properly and she got a tech the next day and got it fixed. Wished the porch downstairs has less cobwebs so we could set there. The kids enjoyed all the games, the theater room and we rented a boat for most of the week. We put the boys in the bunk room witht the theater room, although it wasn't a private area, it worked out.

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful stay! The house has everything you could possibly want or need in the kitchen. The two dishwashers and oversized fridge was a nice surprise. We spent our whole day on the dock playing cards, kayaking and paddle boarding. Definitely considering coming back next year.

Great stay at a great big house on the lake

We spent our annual summer family vacation at Lake Gaston this year and had a great time at Shannon and Chet's home. The house is huge, with an expansive main level that could accommodate all of our family. There are two primary bedrooms on the main levele that hsare a very large bathroom, and the remaining sleeping areas are all downstairs. Rooms are big and bright, and the furniture and beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, lake toys, but most of all, the beautiful new covered dock, which included a tv, bar, ceiling fans and plenty of space to be in or out of the sun. OVerall, it was a great trip.

Wonderful retreat!

We loved our family gathering at this amazing home. There was something for everyone, and the common area space was perfect for cooking, games, relaxing and catching up. Adult “kids” stayed at the dock area all day and loved having the canoe available.

Wonderful Lake Gaston Family Vacation

The home was perfect for our family of 11, from 9 to 71 years old. The kayaks and trampoline, as well as other floats we brought, made for great fun at the lake each day. The gourmet kitchen was much appreciated!

Grammy's 80th Birthday
