A little old fashioned
Rooms were clean, pool nice. Staff were outstanding and really friendly.
The facility in general can do with some renovation. Motel 6 is a cleaner better run motel. They promise breakfast but it is more of coffee and donuts. Internet service was always slow to a crawl. Room was quite clean - looked like the better cover had been used before. There was water shutoff while there due to a fire hydrant knock down on the street (I think). There was no water from the night when it happened to mid-afternoon. They never bothered to advise of the problem and when water can be expected back. I left the place 2 nights before my original plan and moved to La Quinta.
We stayed one night here to explore Bozeman, with a specific interest in hanging out downtown. The motel was reasonably priced and about a mile from downtown. The room was a little dated but nicely appointed with a fridge and microwave. The bed wasn't terribly comfortable (moved too much when you roll over etc), but the room was very clean. We would recommend or stay here again
Bear bones. No Kleenex, hair drier, shampoo, hand lotion. Couldn't get on the internet. When we tried to call the office the phone was dead. We had to change our initial reservation to a different date so we stayed there knowing it wasn't going to be great. The women at the desk was the owner and wasn't real pleasant.
We stayed at the Rainbow Motel overnight before we started our trip to Yellowstone. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was great to start our day. Excellent value for overnight guests!
The night clerk kept open for us until we got there from Yellowstone which impressed us and recommended a breakfast place the next day. They had no breakfast at the hotel. It was a welcome hotel to come to after traveling late at night and they had our reservation.
The Rainbow Motel was a nice place for a decent price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The comfiest bed and best continental breakfast I had on this vacation :)

Good for one night stay while on the road.
I stayed Thursday night, August 4, 2016. I made the reservation at the Rainbow Inn on August 2, 2016. When I arrived from Colorado Springs, the hotel was completely full. They had my reservation through Expedia and gave me one of their most quiet rooms (#169), on the outer northeast corner of the building on the second floor. There are only 2 second floor rooms in the motel. The Rainbow Inn has been sold and the new owners plan on tearing it down on September 1, 2016.
Great value and location for an event at MSU. Went down for a concert and just needed a place to crash. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower was hotn room was BIG. Nothing fancy, but suited our needs quite well.
It's simple but the warm of the people and their will to make our stay the best possible made all the difference... Furthermore, I was surprised by receiving more that I expected.

Convenient to Yellowstone
Pleasent motel conveniently located only 90minutes from north entrance to Yellowstone National Park.Small but nice swimming pool.
I thought this place was great. Better prices than everyone else and a better room provided by an owner who cares about the quality and condition of the place. Oh and by the way, I was in the room farthest from the office and the WiFi worked just fine in my room. I think the people complaining about it just shouldn't own smartphones they don't know how to use.
Good for the night. Rooms were clean but carpets stained. Good wifi and ice machine.

Good location
Easy to get to location makes it ideal for travelers.
It's older construction so noise from the adjacent road is in full stereo.
The personnel were courteous and helpful.

Might stay again
The room was comfortable, but no shampoo, no hair dryer, and the phone cord was broke.

Good on a budget
The hotel is in need of some upgrades, but it was comfortable. The best things about this location was the service and a good continental breakfast.
