I love everything in the Danwson's house. The house is very clean, smell good and Mr Harold is very kind. Five stars service!

Stay away!!!!!
I book for a queen size bed, when I arrive it was a twin size bed. The bathroom was small and unclean. The owner's grandchildren were making noise upstairs. The towels were cheap and smell. It was a total disaster. I ended up leaving the same day and book into a hotel.

The hotel page shows the featured image of a pool when in fact this property is not a hotel and it does not have a pool. This property is a private home in a gated community. Harold, was at least a nice person. However, our stay here was one of the worst experiences my wife and I have had in our travels. 1. On the property page the bed is described as premium bedding. The bed we slept on was the first box spring bed we have slept on in at least 15 years and the noise of the spring added to the discomfort of the mattress. Anyway, hardly what I would describe as "premium bedding" 2. At first, the room was on the warm side, not quite hot, but not comfortable. Because this was a private house and I realize room temperature can be personal I understand this. The correction the owner had provided was a large floor fan that only worked at 1 of the 3 speeds. The room did temperature did go down after about an hour and that was not so bad. 3. Shared bathroom? Oh my, this was a huge discomfort for both of us. Again, this was deceptive on the page as the 2 rooms shown with descriptions, one says private bathroom and the second room shown bathroom is under "more info" and it only describes the bath and shower head. No mention on shared bathroom. 4. Cleanliness? the overall big picture would give one the feeling the place is clean. on closer inspection the area rug in our room needed vacuum and there was a condom wrapper under the bed. could go on, but had to condense due to word count

Our HOME is classified as a GUEST HOUSE in name and description (please look just above where it says 'Guest Reviews'). We do love to get ACCURATE feedback from guest. This is how we are able to improve on our guest experience. We did accommodate this guest's CHECK-IN at 1 o'clock in the morning. Check-out is 12 noon, and we were unable to allow for a late Check-Out request, because we had other reservations. Our community offers the relaxation of a Large Pool, Basket ball/Tennis Court, Exercise Room and Kids Play Area (this is not available @ 1am). Our guest chose the shared bathroom accommodation and not the 'Comfort House, Non Smoking, Private Bathroom'. Expecting a HOTEL and instead booking a GUEST HOUSE and not being able to over stay their check-out time, must have irritated our guest to the point where they felt it necessary to give the lowest score, and write an untruthful review. Please look at all our reviews, so you will understand we do run a REASONABLY PRICED, very clean, comfortable Guest House with a pool.

Dawson House, very poor accommodation
Their is only a small bedroom with a double bed, styrofoam pillows and cheap polyester linens. Towels were rough and old and ratty. Bathroom is so tiny you cannot move and facility was dirty. Toilet was broken and flushed every 10 minutes, couldn't sleep. Very disappointed in Hotels.com, is a reputable site and I expected them to check out their recommendation. Cannot understand how this place can be recommended.

So sorry that we could not extend your 'check-out time' to 2pm, but we did have another guest arriving, so we had to be firm about the original 12noon 'check-out'. I hope that other potential guest reading your review will understand that ALL of the negative INACCURACIES could stem from your late 'check-out' request being denied. We run a clean, comfortable (reasonably priced), Guest Home, which we continue to monitor and update, and most of are guest are VERY satisfied.

Do not book not a hotel....its a house.
This was a home. Gated community. We had a bedroom full bed and put a twin mattress on floor no blankets. Very uncomfortable

We are listed as a GUEST HOUSE. Just like our property name 'Dawson's HOUSE'. All our options are provided upon request. Extra bedding is available for up to 3 people. Blankets, sheets, and xtra fluffy pillows are all stocked and ready for our guest. Please choose the room which already has 2 beds listed, otherwise if you choose a room with 1 bed, we can only offer to bring in a pillow-top mattress in an attempt to satisfy your needs without an extra charge. We often get great reviews for our HELPFUL STAFF, but while you are here please communicate with us YOUR NEEDS.

Bei der Buchung war uns nicht bewusst, dass die Unterkunft ein Guesthaus ist und sich in einem bewachten Areal befindet. Erst nach Rücksprache mit dem Sicherheitsdienst könnten wir die Absperrung passieren. Da die Unterkunft wie ein Privathaus aussah, wussten wir nicht ob wir richtig sind. Ein sehr freundlicher Jamaikaner kam uns entgegen, erklärte uns den Unterschied zwischen Hotel und House, zeigte uns den Parkplatz, sein Haus und unser Zimmer darin. Der einzigste Wermutstropfen war das geteilte Badezimmer und die Toilette des Besitzers hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit. Aber ich möchte die sehr zuvorkommende Freundlichkeit des Besitzers und seiner Tochter hervorheben, wir bekamen ein angemessenes Frühstück mit richtigen Tellern und Besteck aufgetischt. Der Preis für das Gebotene ist absolut in Ordnung und wir würden wieder buchen.

"When booking we were unaware that the accommodation is a guest house and is located in a guarded area. Only after consultation with the security service, we could pass the barrier. Since the accommodation looked like a private home, we did not know if we were right. A very friendly Jamaican met us, explained the difference between hotel and house, showed us the parking lot, his house and our room in it. The only downer was the shared bathroom and owner's toilet for cleanliness. But I would like to emphasize the very gracious friendliness of the owner and his daughter, we were served a decent breakfast with real plates and cutlery. The price for the offered is absolutely fine and we would book again." Thank you for posting your review. This will help us to improve in areas where we are not PERFECT. I hope that all our future guest will communicate with us, and tell us of their expectations while they are here, so we might be able to enhance their stay and improve their level of satisfaction. We do aim for PERFECTION !!
