Perfect place to relax
Second time here, such a calming retreat. We enjoy the many hiking trails nearby and exploring the local towns and chatting with the people. We will be back for a third time!

Wonderful, relaxing cottage
We loved our stay at the cottage. One morning, we saw an eagle swoop down to catch a fish and saw two seals swimming by. The kitchen had everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was very low, but hopefully that will get fixed soon.

Short weekend trip
We rented this property for three nights. We chose it due to the water view and it’s proximity to Augusta as my husband was racing in the 70.3 Ironman. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen appliances, pots and pans that we needed. The view was absolutely beautiful and we took full advantage of the fire pit and dock access. The property management team was very thorough and sent updates about early check in being available which was an added bonus. This was our first VRBO rental and they made it very smooth! Our only complaint was the water pressure. It was so bad it made it difficult to shower or do dishes. With that being said I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again for a short stay but would not recommend six people staying here.

Beautiful home in Bowdoinham, Me
We loved the cabin. The view is spectacular (we saw 3 bald eagles), the cabin itself is very modern and has very good air conditioning. It was quite warm during our stay, so it was great to have a cool refuge. We loved the proximity to places of interest like Bath, Boothbay Harbor and others. Go to the Sea Dog Brewery in Topsham for some great food, and amazing scenery. One of our favorite meals was at Three Robbers Pub just a few minutes away in Bowdoinham. We had a lovely week at the house and in Maine. Note: the dishwasher is out of service and the grill (charcoal) should be replaced, but these were minor inconveniences for us.

Greay view but old and needs updating
Pros- you cannot beat the views of this cabin. It's located near many lakes and rivers. The place was clean and tidy and supplied laundry pods. Cons- very small for our party of 6. Theres a dock but no fishing gear, a kayak but no paddles. The fireplace is broken, the dishwasher was broken, despite being included in the description. I reached out to the property owners day one regaridng broken equipment and they didnt get back to me until after check out. Bottom line- stop at a walmart and get fishing gear, kayak paddles, and i would suggest 4 people or less.

Lovely scenery at river front. Quiet. Home access was very difficult with pot holed road and steep entry. Nice kitchen but dishwasher did not work. Fireplace did not work either. Overall, the holiday went well.

NO water pressure
The place is beautiful, and pictures are true of the place. They do not tell you that there are nice patio chairs in the shed. Found on third day when we were trying to figure out where the trash goes. There is NO guidebook as to how to run things or to put trash. We did find the manual for some of the items in the far-left drawer in kitchen. We had a concern that we were having to figure out the dishwasher (it takes a few seconds for it to actually start, fyi) and the property manager reached out to us and helped out. No idea how to fully turn off the AC and was a pain blowing as we worked on items for the wedding. Luckily, SIL has had one at work and showed us. Again, if there was a manual. Has not been brought up before but there is NO water pressure. We were staying here since my daughter got married nearby. My other daughter has thick hair and had to go to a family member nearby to be able to wash her hair. I ran out of hot water before I was able to get all the soap out. We have well water at our home, so we are used to wells and the water from them. This was BAD. Also only three drinking glasses. LOTS of mugs - this is a plus - these places usually have only a couple. Wi-Fi works great. I would highly recommend and go back again - if only we could have showered on site. Even husband complained and he has very little hair!

Great with a few bumps....
Beautiful location and cute cottage. Our comforter was a bit dirty, but found a clean one. The dishes were also a little dirty. The bed is, as far as I can tell, not a queen, but otherwise a wonderful stay.

This cottage was great for three of us. The view from every window ( and there are many) was fantastic. Although we only had breakfast there the kitchen seemed well stocked. The bathroom was nice but for a short person the shower had so much pressure, you could never escape the water. My only other complaint that the futon was horrible to sit on. Loved the thoughtfulness of the telescope and binoculars.

The Perfect Get Away
We had a wonderful time here - relaxing, warm, bright, cheerful, cozy. I called ahead to be sure the driveway would be plowed (expected 6-8" the afternoon of our arrival) and Vacasa communicated with me twice to confirm. The pathway to the cabin was not shoveled, which made our entry a little difficult/slippery but a shovel was provided in the kitchen closet. Beds/linens/blankets are super comfortable and clean, and unlike the pictures on the website, there's now a reclining chair in addition to the futon couch and a kitchen table with chairs instead of picnic style bench. We liked the improvement! Our only sadness was our agreement with a previous review - not enough spoons and kitchen utensils, but that's a simple fix! We will definitely remember Eagle's View for our next Bowdoinham stay!

Hunting sea duck trip
Stayed here for our annual duck hunting trip. Beat our expectations on looks, cleanliness, comfort, etc. only thing to complain about is the coffee machine took forever to brew. Other than that, it was a pleasure staying here

The view is fantastic, the location is great, and we really enjoyed the eagles. The water pressure is very low though, so you can only run water in one place at a time. Plus, with very hard water and low pressure, you can't get properly rinsed in the shower, and laundry doesn't come out too clean. The cheap vacuum barely worked, and there is nothing like a swiffer or mop to help clean up any spills. No grill was provided, so we wound up getting our own. If you're going to be there more than a couple of days, expect that you'll be roughing it.

Clean & Quaint with a Gorgeous View
Our family of 5 stayed 3 nights during a week long New England tour. While we were gone most of the time, the cabin was a wonderful respite to regroup and relax each evening. The cabin is nestled between 2 houses, but is rather secluded and very quiet. We appreciated the convenience of modern appliances and laundry and our boys loved fishing off the dock and watching bald eagles with the binoculars that were provided. The view is amazing, but unfortunately there was no fire pit or seating to relax outside and enjoy it. Overall, a good fit for our family’s travels.

Nice little cabin
Nice views, lots of wildlife. Overall the place was clean, but they have a major ant problem. Many dead ants inside and still plenty alive. No seating for outside, bring your own.

Relaxing time at Eagles View
We had an excellent time relaxing here for 5 days. The view across Merrymeeting Bay is lovely, the cottage is new, clean and comfortable. We experienced a couple of difficulties gas fireplace didn't work, primary lockbox didn't work), but the local property manager was prompt in his efforts to fix those problems.

Wonderful stay here - the views are amazing and it is very cozy. Everything we needed was available in the cabin. Very quiet and peaceful - highly recommend - we will be back! Mind the 4WD comments on the driveway - you might need it - especially in winter/spring.

Great Location, Quiet Cabin
This was a terrific cabin for a quiet, quick getaway with wife and son. The cabin was clean, well stocked with linens and towels, and had most everything you need in the kitchen. The views are great in winter, and must be even better in summer. Vacasa was responsive to inquiries. We'd come back. Two things worth noting: 1) the gas fireplace pumps out plenty of heat, but we could only turn on manually inside the panel; 2) if renting in winter or anytime in proximity to a snow/ice event, a 4WD vehicle is likely a necessity because of the steep access road and sloped driveway. Also, make sure to notify Vacasa in advance of departure about plowing the driveway in the event of snow or ice during the stay. There's a shovel just in case (it came in handy for us).

Gorgeous, quiet getaway
This cabin was PERFECT for a quiet winter weekend getaway. The house itself is beautiful, cozy, clean, and comfortable. The view of the lake (mostly frozen over while we were there) was breathtaking, we even saw 2 bald eagles! There are a million places to take gorgeous hikes and it was a quick, easy drive to fun places like Brunswick and Freeport for great restaurants and shops. Getting in/checking out was super easy, everything was 100% professional and we would LOVE to come stay there again.

We stayed during Thanksgiving weekend at this lovely little cabin. The views were breathtaking, especially in the master bedroom where you have a stunning view of the frozen bay and wildlife. The management staff was very responsive. Couldn’t ask for a nicer stay.

Very clean, cozy, well furnished, easy to keep up, comfortable, quiet.
We stayed for three days and absolutely enjoyed just hanging out in the peaceful, quiet environment listening to the sounds of the water, birds, and wind in the trees. The cottage was very well made. We had the opportunity to meet the fellow who did the construction. He was a very nice gentleman. We wanted to compliment him on his fine work which included the walkway down to the dock. The location is very private . We would highly recommend this place as restful and enjoyable.

Our stay here has been amazing overall, we're sad to leave! The view of the river is breath taking and the location is very peaceful. Housing was very clean and neatly organized when we arrived, felt like buying a new house! We enjoyed swimming during the day and watching the sunset off the dock in the evening. Kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, etc. Plenty of blankets and pillows to go around and the bathroom has toilet paper, soaps and shampoos included. There's also a small patio with a stand-up firepit for a night time activity. Our only real complaints are small and didn't affect our overall experience. The driveway leading down to the property needs some serious TLC. If my car was any lower to the ground, I probably would've scraped something off. Definitely don't go over 10mph down this long driveway. The stove in the kitchen is a bit faulty, the burners periodically turn themselves off every couple of seconds and then back on again. Lastly, the power outlets in the bathroom do not work. However, like I said, we had an amazing time here and would absolutely love to come back!! This is a fantastic vacation spot!

Clean, well equipped cabin in a picture perfect setting.
Right on the water, this cabin was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Close enough to Brunswick and Bath to make shopping and day trips easy, but secluded enough to be very private. We will definitely book more time at this lovely spot.

Amazing. Adorable. Clean. Modern.
This is an adorable, modern European style house with beautiful views and everything you need for a cozy vacation stay. Vacasa is an organized, professional agency and everything is in perfect order. Have kayaks delivered to your door from Seaspray. Have a glass of wine watching the eagles at sunset. Sleep on the comfy beds and cook easily in the modern,equipped kitchen. We highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!
Wonderful little cabin that was spacious and nicely situated and outfitted. Cabin is far enough out to feel private, but close enough to anything you would want to see, shop, or eat. Watching the tide and wildlife was amazing. I saw eagles, king fishers, and many other birds that would come in at low tide. I had an issue with the heat pump the first night, called vacasa and they had a maintenance guy call me to work out the issue. It was resolved in less than an hour. The driveway is long and a little rough,zero but if you go slow it won't be a problem.Ihave zero complaints about this vacation spot.

Beautiful, secluded property
This cabin has an amazing view both from inside and outside with large windows in the living room and bedroom. The location was very secluded and quiet, and in no sight of neighbors. Interior was renovated and clean with a large kitchen and cozy living room. The outside grill was a plus and great place to enjoy bbq with a view. Great place for a getaway!

A beautiful spot, even in winter. The cabin is super tight & the winter sun (rising over the bay) turns it into a greenhouse with picture windows wrapping the east side. Good bed in master BR. The lower driveway was a sheet of ice, but after calling VRBO this was soon fully resolved by a very personable & efficient guy with a sand/salt truck. I hope to return this fall.

Perfect getaway for NYE!
Stayed at this modern yet rustic and secluded cabin with another couple for New Year's Eve weekend. We found the cabin to be perfect and complete with what we needed. There is a tv in the cabinet above the fireplace; however, we brought a chromecast and Super Nintendo to keep us entertained and watch the ball drop after we completed a puzzle in front of the fireplace. Short drive to Freeport and Brunswick for shopping and restaurants. Kitchen was stocked with basic cookware/bakeware, spices, and oils we needed to cook some breakfasts and dinners. Would love to stay here again, maybe when it's above 0 degrees!!
