Welcome to Riverbend Cabins. Situated along the beautiful Chena River just a short drive to North Pole or Fairbanks city center. You'll enjoy your own private cabin with a balcony off the master bedroom perfect for viewing the Aurora Borealis or taking in the midnight sun!!

Revel in the serene air and peaceful nights when you book this 1.5 bathroom vacation cabin that sleeps 4.

Riverbend's Chinook Cabin offers a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances necessary to share a home cooked feast. A cozy living room and adjoined dining area with seating for 4. The main bath, including a shower and tub.
Upstairs you will find a half bath and bedroom with 1 queen and 1 full size bed. Each bed has separate sleeping areas with a shared wall that can be closed with a folding wooden door for added privacy. Making it feel more like a 2 bedroom.
Nestled right along the Chena River, enjoy boating, fishing, and kayaking right out your back door!


The North Pole/Fairbanks area offers endless opportunities for your Alaskan adventures!! Winter guests can take a cruise over to North Pole and visit "Santa Claus House" and his reindeer. Or, take a short drive into Fairbanks and check out the World Ice Art Championships. The combination of ice sculptures and ice playground is sure to delight! For an unforgettable dog-sledding adventure, drive less than 5 minutes over to "Paws for Adventure"....or for the more adventurous, take a drive up to Chena Hot Springs for a relaxing soak!
Chinook Cabin offers a unique opportunity for our winter visitors to catch a glance of the celestial color spectacular from your bedroom balcony if Lady Aurora decides to make her appearance!!

Summer guests will enjoy a drive to North Pole and Santa Claus House too!! You just can't make this trip without a visit to Santa!! While in North Pole stop by The Crepery for a bite to eat or take a stroll down one of the many walking/bike paths at Chena Lake Recreation Area. When you are finished sight seeing come back to Chinook Cabin and enjoy the stillness under the Midnight Sun.

Winter wonderland vacation

Great location close to town yet very peaceful and remote. The river is so close i bet its great in the summer as well as winter. So many things to see and do in the area.

Great Experience at this Peaceful Cabin

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is charming and spacious, with everything I needed. It was the perfect weekend getaway. Checking in and out and communicating with the host were all great.

Cabin in the woods

It is a beautiful log cabin on property along the Chena River. Location was great, we were within 1/2 drive to almost everywhere we wanted to go explore. It was cozy, loved the decks and despite being right next to another cabin, it was very private. Loved staying here.

The property was beautiful blanketed with snow. The cabin precious and the bed was so comfortable! Our stay and the entire trip was amazing! Heather and Gary answered any question we had but allowing all privacy!

Lovely place to stay

This is such a lovely place to stay! We visited in the winter, hoping to see the northern lights, and the location was perfect—peaceful and away from the city, yet not too far. The cabin is incredibly cozy, with warm wood floors that feel absolutely wonderful during the cold winter months. The place was very clean and cozy, and the owner was extremely helpful and supportive. We’d love to come back and stay here in the summer to experience Alaska in a different season!

Warm and comfortable. Beautiful cabin with lake view. We had a long drive up from Talkeetna via Denali Hwy cabin was ready when we got there, we were able to settle in and prepare for our drive up Dalton Hwy to the arctic circle the next day.

Great Cabin in the Winter Wonderland

Enjoyed this cozy cabin with my son! About 50 yards from the river and while there is a cabin next door, it's very private. Enjoyed the local ice carving, sled dog tour and ice fishing. Didn't see the northern lights this time but have to leave something for the next trip! Def recommend this place!

Wonderful Stay!

I rented this log cabin for myself and a family member to experience Fairbanks in the cold snowy winter. It was truly a perfect spot for us, we loved the warm cozy cabin, it had everything we needed to come home to after exploring Fairbanks. Comfortable beds and great heated floors. If there was anything we could find a minor fault with it would be the slow wifi, perhaps a booster is needed. Needless to say, I look forward to returning, on a lucky night you can view the northern lights from just outside. Highly recommend!

Great cabin. Saw some northern lights.

Great cabin with some great hosts. The cabin is outside of town a little, which makes it very peaceful. My wife and I visited to see some northern lights and did not get disappointed. It was really cold in January, but the cabin had in-floor heating and was cozy. The kitchen is small (no garbage disposal, or dishwasher) but had everything we needed. I hope to go back in the summer to see some wildlife.

My husband and I spent our 11th anniversary together here! The property was absolutely beautiful and our hosts made us feel more than welcome. I loved the heated floors, the decor, and the snacks/drink mixes set out for us. Heather was more than helpful offering the grill/chairs/and fire pit for our use. We enjoyed seeing Chena Hot Springs and Denali national park. Our last day there was a surprise of beautiful snow in May, and we got to see a moose walking in the snow along the river. Such a quiet and enjoyable time!

Chasing the Lights

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Riverbend Cabins. We stayed in the Chinook Cabin, and it was warm, cozy and inviting. You have everything you need to cook a meal, and the view is just beautiful. Heather was kind enough to text us when the northern lights were out, and also when there was a moose in the yard! We would not hesitate to recommend staying in the Riverbend Cabins to others.
