First, let me say that the owner did a very nice job of renovating the kitchen, bathroom and sleeping area by adding custom cabinets. She also supplied many items that you would normally have to purchase, like tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and beach items. However, when we arrived I saw a safe in the closet but found out it was inoperable. The 2 TVs were not working, which I contacted the host about several times. Finally, she had her resort manager supply new remote controllers, but that didn’t happen until day #4. The most significant complaint is that there was no hot water. Turn on the cold, and it comes out great. This was true in the 2 sinks and the shower. I contacted the owner many times about this and her response was “no one else complained about it”. Unfortunately, that didn’t help us and we went the entire 5 days with no hot water. There were other little things that needed attention as well; the toilet seat is falling off, as is the toilet paper holder from the wall. This was also brought to the owners attention. There seems to be ceiling damage from water, perhaps from the unit above? The ceiling cracks are obvious. The window valance over the bed is falling down on one side, and needs to be repaired. The ceiling track lights by the kitchen counter are falling off on one side. I won’t go on, but no TV and no hot water led to a poor rating in my book, even though the owner declared on many occasions that she always gets the highest ratings.
