Location location location! This rental is right next to an amazing bakery and an amazing deli, and walking distance to the castle! So great! The room I booked had 2 bedrooms, but you had to walk through one to get to the other. The shower had amazing water pressure, but was a bit short even at my 5'6". The entrance is up some stairs, and then the bedrooms are up another flight. Europe has a lot of stairs! Furnishing are a bit dated and falling apart - which only matters if you spend a lot of time there.

It was spotlessly clean and had everything thing you would need. One side of the bed was very flat. The breakfast was delivered to room but was very disappointing as we were looking forward to it after reading other reviews.

Prior to arriving the owner messaged telling me he wanted an additional €15 for bedding and towels…which wasn’t a problem until I got there and the towels were stained and the bedding smelt like it had been on the bed since 1940. He then asked for an additional €100 deposit just incase anything was broken while we were there! On entering the apartment I noticed all the windows open and he was obviously trying to air the place out as it smelt old and unused! There was cobwebs all over the walls and windows and a thick layer of dust on the top part of the beds! Dead flies on the floor and hair and dirt all over the floor and in plug hole on bath! Damp and mould throughout! Beds were very uncomfortable and sounded like they would break at the slightest movement! Noise throughout the night was terrible, doors slamming and cats fighting throughout the night! This was a pit stop for our road trip from Germany so had no choice but to stay here as we had 2 very tired children! I paid €140 for the pleasure of staying here and wouldn’t go back even if he paid me! Stay away from this place!

Kalt im winter

Der Mann am check-in war kaum interessiert an uns und hat nur auf seinem Handy geschaut. Wir waren dort im Winter und der Zimmer war schlecht isoliert und kalt. Um die Decke im Schrank benutzen zu dürfen, muss man aber 15€ zahlen. Auch die Schallisolierung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Ich war die halbe Nacht wach, weil jemand sehr laut im Handy gesprochen hat. Letzteres kann das hotel natürlich nichts dafür, aber es muss sich nicht anhören als ob er neben meinem Bett steht.

Deze B&B past qua sfeer perfect in het dorpje, zeker in de rustiger periodes. Geen grote luxe, maar alles wat je nodig hebt voor een kort verblijf is er aanwezig en werkt. En de ontbijtjes zijn een ware troef.

Très très moyen

L accueil par une personne qui parlait difficilement le francais et qui ne le comprenait pas mieux. A peine un regard, répond tres succinctement à nos questions... Le petit dejeuner à 12€ dont on prépare soit même le café SOLUBLE dans un gobelet en CARTON...non merci plus jamais ! La jolie assiette composée d une crêpe et de queques fraises et myrtilles ne pouvaient pas compenser ! Seul point positif, le parking gratuit juste en face.

Nous avions réservé deux chambres une pour un couple d'amis et une pour mon épouse et moi même avec les petits déjeuners pour quatre personnes. Sur la route, nous avons reçu un message d'Expédia qui nous informait n'avoir réservé auprès de l’hôtelier que deux chambres d'une personne. Comble de tout, lorsque nous sommes arrivés, il n'y avait qu'UNE SEULE CHAMBRE DE RESERVE ET CE POUR UNE SEULE PERSONNE. Heureusement que la personne du Golden Lion a réussi à trouver une chambre de libre dans un autre hôtel !

il y a mieux ça sent l'arnaque!!!

Après avoir fait payer la facture, ce qui était logique, on nous a demandé de payer une caution de 15€ pour ??? le réceptionniste ne parlait pas français suffisamment pour nous dire avec précision la raison, alors que nous avions à la réservation du inscrire un n° de carte de crédit. Cette caution devait être reversée le lendemain sur le compte après notre départ. Pour le reste, un logement banal et manquant de propreté, d'insonorisation, d'une bonne literie le seul point positif un petit déjeuné copieux mais sans jus et sans café sauf soluble!!!! Si la caution n'est pas remboursée, trop cher pour ce que c'est!!!

Tres bon hôtel, très bon accueil. Ils ont plein de détails avec les clients, comment café et bouteille d'eau gratuit. Seul hic, pas de TV dans la chambre.

te 'administratieve' ontvangst; ik had het hartelijker verwacht. Er wordt kost van 15euro aangerekend die - zij ik dat ik er moest aan herinneren - correct werd terugbetaald. Kamer is OK: proper en ruim. Hoewel aan de straatkant, geen last gehad van straatlawaai.

Kamer wat gadateerd maar netjes en best gezellig. Badkamer prima . Wat meer privacy moet lukken. Het ontbijt werd op de kamer geserveerd. Een score op 10 lukt niet. Maak er maar een 10+ van. Ideaal b & b voor een weekendtrip

Amazing stay!

This was the absolute best stay we had on our entire trip! The room was decent size, bathroom was roomy as well. Shower was upgraded and even had back massaging jets. Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning and it blew us away with the selection and abundance of food. I highly recommend staying here!

Quirky, well done and excellent value....but......

This is a place of real character, and that will work well for some....and less for others. What you have is a charming corner building that seems to be one room deep and four high. The all in one office/reception area/lobby/kitchen occupies the ground floor and then there are three bedrooms, one on top of the other, above......all accessed by a very narrow wooden spiral staircase. We had the middle bedroom, which was charming, decorated with an eclectic mix of old furniture with antlers on the walls, wine boxes attached to the wall as (very effective) bedside tables and so on. Quirky but neatly and cleverly done. The bathroom en-suite has a shower which gave good hot water. I am just over 6 foot tall and overnight I found the bed a touch too short for a comfortable sleep, but the snoring from someone in the bedroom above us kept us awake anyway! So that's the main adverse observation.......lack of vertical sound insulation. The compensation for that was the quite superb breakfast delivered to the bedroom door at whatever time one asks..........freshly cooked mushroom omelette, fresh croissants and bread from the bakery next door, delicious pastries.......really more than one needs, but thank you so much!! Add the free bottle of wine to welcome you (sadly we didn't have time to enjoy it!) and note that you get all this for 60-something euros a night.........and I must say that, with the exception of the sound insulation, this is fabulous value. Take your time on the stairs!!

Het is klein logeeradres met twee kamers, op loopafstand van de bezienswaardigheden van Bouillon, zoals het kasteel. De eigenaar spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en je krijgt een fles goede fles wijn gratis. Ook is er koffie/thee op de kamer. Ontbijten kun je er niet, maar aan de overkant van de straat is een uitstekende en voordelige broodjeswinkel. Het beddegoed is kraakhelder en de badkamer is ook schoon. Een goed logeeradres voor de prijs (50 euro per nacht).
