Bouchelles Island Hotels, New Smyrna Beach

"The hotel was listed as “in new” condition. The hotel had been renovated but only with vinyl flooring and paint, at least in my room. The bathroom door was warped and the panels were water damaged. The floor was buckling as well. I’m very disappointed in the parking personnel. I was traveling with a 75 and 81 year old and because I chose to self park and not use valet, I was required to off load my passengers and luggage across the street, a busy thoroughfare, in the hotel’s parking garage. They then had to walk which of course aggravated existing medical issues. On top of that, the valet has taken the premiere parking spaces and I had to park closer to the 5th floor which of course caused the walk to be that much worse for them. I wound up paying nearly $100 to park and was not offered any assistance. This hotel is considered in th luxe tier but it is not. This is the first time I have used a luxury hotel and was treated this way. "

"This is an Ocean front overlooking the pool and the beach it is located about a mile from the pier and the area around the Hotel has some sketchy characters but no problems in the area to speak of. "

"We love this property but wish they would install a nice hot tub we would have stayed all week if they would do that..it is the only thing that is lacking on days that the beach and pool are a little too cold for. "

"Staff not very helpful. I had over $400 of incorrect charges on mt bill. They hit you with other charges everywhere. We missed cleanings twice because we were in the room and ask them to come later. The food at sessions was good but slow. The first night we were there the restaurant was half empty but we were told the kitchen has put us on hold and we could not be seated. We sat at the outside bar and ordered food. I expected it to be better, I was disappointed. "

"Ocean view with a nice hot complementary breakfast including coffee juice eggs sausage patties Belgian waffles yogurt cereal and more. Will definitely stay again "
