We spent an amizing trip in this cottage and we slept very well. The location is really ideal and we are alone in the middle of nowhere. Very calm and peacefull.
Fantastic little cottage away from all the lights and sounds. Were able to see the Northern Lights and had such a fantastic time sitting out on the patio and taking in the views. Would recommend
The cabin was absolutely amazing. Nestled in the foothills of a local mountain with spectacular views as far as the eye can see. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night, I could see myself reading a good book on the deck, or viewing the northern lights at night.
The cabin was clean and well appointed and very comfortable. The owners were the best communicators we've ever had the pleasure to interact with. They had plenty of local recommendations and things to do. We drove about 40 minutes away to a small hot spring in the middle of nowhere. It was amazing to say the least!
The cabin was described accurately in the listing, though it's a bit more rustic than the photos appear. It was very clean and well-kept. The hosts provided good communication during booking and clear instructions to arrive. The views are majestic. There's a little babbling brook nearby, and lots of birds and vegetation. Really lovely.
One thing to be aware of if you visit in summer: the upper windows do not have shades. The lower main windows all have shades to pull down to block the midnight sun, but the upper windows are open and there is some sunlight in the cabin at all hours. I recommend bringing an eyemask.
This cabin is comfortable for 1-2 persons. I would not recommend for more than two.
Away from the crowds, but great location and beautiful views. The chalet has everything you might need for your stay near the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Very friendly contacts.
Quiet and peaceful holiday home easily accessed - excellent instruction pack provided. Kitchen was well equipped for self-catering, and good back out curtains for mid-summer sleeping.
The cabin was a lovely getaway and very private. We were glad to have a 4x4 because of the bad weather we faced, but any concern we could have had was evident in the information provided by our host. Additionally, they were incredibly attentive and communicative on the couple of instances we needed some help!
This was a great cabin to stay in, very spacious and cosy. It’s a bit out of the way with a long gravel road but that’s what makes it so peaceful. You can see forever from the front porch. The hosts were very good about responding to questions quickly.
Perfect spot for one night stopover on our road trip through Iceland. Cozy and clean, in a stunningly beautiful landscape. Bathroom is no frills but did the job.
Nice quite cottage with great views. Nice stopover for the last leg of our ring road trip. Had the basics that we needed. Host was very quick to answer any questions. Would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cabin. It was very warm and clean and had everything we needed for our time in Iceland. The location was great and the view from the front deck was beautiful. The owners were very easy to work with and provided fantastic directions and information about the area which made planning our trip much easier.
The cabin is not far from the nice little town of Borgarnes. We had dinner out one night and were easily able to get any groceries we needed. We also used the community center in Borgarnes, which has a great outdoor warm pool with hot tubs and a sauna. Overall a great cabin and a fantastic location.
Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Lage zur Erkundung der Halbinsel ist sehr gut. Lediglich ein paar Sachen wie z.B. Teppich und Duschvorhang müssten mal erneuert werden.
