Wander between the twinlawns that flank the western border of the park to find Château Borély and itstree lined façade. When built in the 18th century, the house was a countrymansion for a wealthy local merchant. It was donated to the city during thecentury that followed and today, after extensive renovations and restorations,houses a fine arts museum. Discover the wide collection of fashion, textilesand pottery housed within the château before stopping by the café forrefreshments. Browse a collection of artist books in the bookshop locatedwithin the château’s east wing.
Outside you’ll find themanicured, English-style gardens that wrap themselves around the lake. Followthe circuit walkway to visit the lake, or rent a bike to explore the longertrails. Bring some bread to feed the ducks and swans that live in the lake.Stop to smell the roses at the rose garden as you relax in the peacefulatmosphere of the park.

Borély Park can be reachedby bus from the city centre. Metered parking is available in the streetssurround the park. There is no admission fee to the park however the botanicgardens and Château Borély each charge a small fee for entry.
