Wonderful cottage get away

Very comfortable stay at this cottage. All the essentials were provided, bed and couch very comfortable, cottage was very clean. We were there during a heat wave so it was great to have AC! Enjoyed the beautiful yard and pond views. Short drive to Boothbay Harbor and scenic East Boothbay coast. Top notch communication with the hosts. Highly recommend!

This cottage had a comfortable firm bed and a very good shower. The inside was plenty roomy and the kitchen had all that we needed. The heater worked well. The yard is beautiful, especially looking over Mill Pond. We hope to return again someday.

Wonderful getaway

This is a wonderful place to stay! The views over the pond are lovely, and the inside is furnished comfortably. It’s peaceful and away from the more touristy areas, but easy to drive to town, the beach, and hiking nearby.

Very nice property!

Very well equipped and clean! Great communication with the owners and they made sure we had everything we needed. Easy check-in and checkout. Small guest house but it “lives big”. Beautiful location from Downtown Harbor and Ocean Point. Been traveling to Boothbay for over 50 yrs. (yes we are old). Started by camping there and then to many different cottages over the years. I must say this is one of the top two on the list. Looking forward to staying there again! Can I say, relaxing property!

Adorable cottage overlooking a tranquil salt pond.

Cottage was clean, cozy and well equipped. Setting was quiet and beyond beautiful, yet minutes from Boothbay Harbor's shops and restaurants. Cant wait to book again. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us

Beautiful and peaceful spot

The little cottage was perfect us for, lovely and well equipped. Sitting by picturesque mill pond in the Adirondack chairs provided was so peaceful. Walks along the road to the public put in and other coastal areas along Linekin Bay was splendid! Wonderful spot in great location!

Fabulous Getaway!

We had an amazing time at Tom and Celeste's cottage - description and pictures are spot on, and the property is a peaceful respite after a long day. This property gets 5 star reviews for a reason - we hope to be back again in the near future!

Beautiful, quiet spot

This was such a peaceful spot to celebrate my birthday. We spent hours just sitting by the mill pond watching the various birds fish. There is a great little store, a bar & a restaurant within walking distance so we didn't leave our little neighborhood at all the first 2 days we were there.

Lovely place to enjoy Boothbay

Exactly as advertised. Very nice view to Mill Pond. Close access to Boothbay Harbor and Ocean Point. Quiet, clean, relaxing place to stay to enjoy all the delights of mid coast Maine.

Lovely little cottage in a peaceful setting

This cottage was perfect for our stay. It is comfortable, clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped. The view down to the pond is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and charming -- we really enjoyed being in East Boothbay, as compared to the busier and more crowded Boothbay Harbor. There are several good hiking trails in the area, and so many other interesting things to do. Highly recommend! We would happily stay here again.

Beautiful place

We had a great time staying in the cottage. It’s cozy, clean, and has everything you need for two people. But the highlight of this property is the location, right on peaceful Mill Pond. There are Adirondack chairs,a fire-pit, and a picnic table next to the lake that guests can use to relax or eat by the water. The host, Tom, was kind and responsive. Highly recommended base for a Maine vacation.

Lovely and peaceful

It was pretty much as described . Well situated and easy access to the area ( markets, restaurants , tourist sights ). The space was wel arranged and the bed was quite comfortable . Kitchen had most of what One would need and we cooked in all but one night. Lots of creatures came to visit us and it was so calm and peaceful . Exactly what we wanted .

Delightful Cottage

The owners were friendly and responsive to questions. The cottage was a delightful! It was very clean and nicely decorated. The owners had unlocked the door and opened a few windows and even had fresh flowers on the table. Very sweet & welcoming owners and cottage! Highly Recommend! Linda

A little haven

Loved the proximity to Boothbay Harbor, Midcoast Maine, & points south. Mostly loved returning to this idyllic setting on Mill Pond after a day of exploring. A glass of wine surrounded by nature's tranquility was good for the soul. My only suggestion: It would be nice if some basic pantry items were provided, like salt & pepper, a few condiments, butter, etc. But we very much enjoyed our stay and have already recommended the cottage to friends.

Tranquility!

What a restful and enjoyable stay we had here! Conveniently located. Grocery store and all amenities within minutes of this quiet home. We loved the tree swing and spent every evening enjoying the peace of the yard. Lots of great trails, shops, restaurants, the farmers market on Thursday, various harbor tours, Monhegan Island, and stunning sunsets down by Ocean Point every evening. Hendricks Head Beach was quaint. The Aquarium and Botanical Gardens were fantastic hits with my daughter. We didnt want to leave and we cant wait to return!

Quaint but damp

My husband and I enjoyed the bnb for the most part - perfect kitchen amenities, beautiful view of the bay, cute little general store a short walk away. But we did notice it was pretty damp INSIDE the bnb our whole stay. There is no AC system, so the humidity builds up during the day, especially on rainy days and especially after a shower. Our clothes and the sheets/towels were damp to the touch our whole stay and smelled a little musty. An easy fix with a dehumidifier I think.

Just what we needed

This was a beautiful place! We rented this location thinking it would be a great central hime base for places we wanted to go (and it was). We spent much more time at the property than we had planned because it was so peaceful and so much ch fun to watch the birds and other wildlife ( huge, fat porcupine!) around the mill pond. The cottage itself was sparkling clean and comfortable. We have food allergies so it was nice to be able to cook simple meals in the kitchen. (We also had an excellent dinner down there road at The Carriage House where they took our allergies seriously. ) There was a miscommunication about check in and out times but Sally and Lindsay from the property management company were fantastic to work with and everything turned out okay. 9 am is an early check out time! We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Time for R&R

Wanting a place that was located conveniently and quiet, I found this listing and knew it would be a good fit. The cottage has a wonderful view of the Mill Pond, a special place I always visit when I'm in Maine....Ocean Point is just down the road too! Bed was very comfy, the kitchen had everything I needed although I really didn't cook there because I had to visit all my favorite local restaurants and chow down on Maine lobster! The only drawback was the patio doors which did not lock properly but I understand that's on the off season list. The owners were welcoming and helpful. I'd definitely consider the cottage for my next visit home.
