"Stayed there in its old iteration and the new management is doing very nice upgrades. Room was great and location is very nice for just about anything Köln has to offer. "

"I chose the hotel because it's less than 10 minute walk from the train station and that the staff speak English. Wonderful staff. Two complaints about the room. The safe was too small for my laptop. It fit in there, but the door wouldn't close. Also there it no house phone in the room. A lot of foreigners don't have a phone/data package so it would have been nice to have a way to reach reception without walking downstairs. I never did find the rooftop or gym. I followed the signs, and then they just stopped at the end of a hallway."

"It is close to the train station and the busy Cathedral Cologne and there can be some sense of a lot of people - but once you step inside it's a fabulous retreat. Great service, we had a beautiful room. The breakfast is very expensive and just "okay" so go across the street to the Cafe Richard. Close to the "historical sections" and close to the water. Would stay here again for sure."

"We chose this hotel for its proximity to the main railway station, just a few minutes walk. Walk out of the station's other side and you're in the Altstadt... loads of places to eat and the fantastic cathedral. We stayed on a saturday night and the area was buzzing, people just out having a good time. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Due to its location next to the main railway station it wasnt particularly quiet and the local trains are very regular and efficient, but we expected that and aren't going to downgrade our comments! I'd definitely stay again!"
