  • Surrounded by beautiful oak trees, our Oak Retreat Guest House is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of the country! Just 15 minutes north of Bonham, and nestled between Lake Bonham and the newly constructed Bois D’ Arc Lake, you are only minutes from shopping, dining and recreation. Built in 2021, the space is a 750 sq ft farmhouse style studio perfect for couples, or a couple with a small child. Beautiful wood vaulted ceilings and antique furnishings take you back in time.

    We have ample parking space for boats, and outside electrical outlet available.

The hosts were amazing, very accessible and helpful with the area. Stayed there for three nights, and the place is extremely clean and well stocked. It was especially nice to be able to do laundry right on the spot. Highly recommend.

One of our most enjoyable stays

Kevin and Cheryl’s place was perfect for our annual fishing trip. It had everything we needed. Their king bed is the most comfortable bed we’ve slept on at a VRBO. We sure hope to return to Bois D’Ark lake and stay with them again!

Bois d arc lake fishing trip

Perfect little guest house for my fishing vacation on the lake! The house had everything we needed and the owners were great with a lot of knowledge of the area. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area!

Beautiful accommodations! Clean, well maintained, price is perfect! Although it is outside of Bonham a bit, it is well worth it! The property is peaceful, great to just sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee and nature!!! Strongly recommend this place!

Great spot for a quick escape

I spent 2 nights in the guest house/apt. Located off a quiet farm road the location is great for relaxing or access to Bois D'Arc lake. The farm road is good for long walks and the guest house porch is great for relaxing. The interior is comfortable and well appointed. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. I would stay again.

Lovely

The property was decorated so well. You felt just like you were at home. So inviting and warm. It was perfect for my husband and I. The outside was private and quiet. Wouks definitely recommend.

This little country gem was everything we hoped for and more. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and perfectly located near several great fishing lakes. It was nice relaxing on the porch, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate our date changes. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in the country, Oak Retreat is a perfect choice. We can’t wait to come back!
