An extraordinary resort, quiet, very friendly staff, very good food, everything superlative. What I didn't like is the room, the bathroom is placed in front of the bedroom and it is not comfortable, it produces a lot of noise.

What a wonderful gem! The resort is beautiful and hidden away from the road. All staff are super friendly and Lisa’s daily special made my day. Perfect spot to chill and relax and do nothing. They are only 20mins away from the whaleshark watching place and the guile is super awesome as well. What a wonderful experience and couldn’t wait to be back!

Lisa runs a very professional resort. She has great team member like Jury and Alex who provide safe guided tours that are safe and amazing (whale shark swimming, waterfall tours and island tours. The food is delicious and the rooms are clean -truly a value in paradise

We reserved the nicest room on the property, and the lighting was so bad we could barely see. Bugs in the room. No TV/radio and internet was randomly available. Only food option closes very early. Very cold showers due to only 3-4 minutes of hot water. Upon returning from day trip to much nicer resort, our room had not been cleaned. Refused to clean or even replace linens. Did not offer a replacement room. Owner told us we were free to leave so we packed our bags and set out to nicer location, but while leaving owner refused to refund for second night. I've traveled all over the world and have never paid so much for so little and be treated so poorly. DEFINITELY DO NOT BOOK HERE!

There are always two sides to every story. Here are the facts relating to your stay…We do not advertise any of our rooms being furnished being with televisions, radios or refrigerators. Also, we state that Wi-Fi is available in the public areas of the resort. Being located on a peninsular overlooking the ocean, the Wi-Fi signal is from the local cell towers, as there is no local fibre or cable network. Here at Granada, we promote the concept of disconnecting from the outside world and enjoying the natural surroundings. We are not a city/convention hotel.Our restaurant serves breakfast followed by an all-day dining menu. The restaurant closes at 9:00pm with a last meal order at 8:15pm. As you arrived after 9:00pm, you could have chosen to call-ahead or email prior to your arrival, in order for us to assist you. However, you chose not to. If your room was so bad, we must ask why you did not raise any of your concerns with us the following morning at breakfast? Instead, you ate your breakfast and departed for your day-out.You returned to the resort at approximately 6:00pm, and found your room had not been cleaned. This was because you did not hang the wooden ‘clean room’ sign outside your door. You said you did not see it, even though it is located with the air-conditioning remote (which you used). When departing for your day-out you also chose not to ask the front desk for housekeeping services.Our housekeeping team do not enter guest’s rooms without permission. This is our resort policy to ensure guests privacy, to protect our team from any possible security complaints, to limit unnecessary physical contact in-line with our post-pandemic health and safety policy, and to support our environmental policies of limiting towel and linen changes.Upon discovering your room had not been cleaned, you immediately threatened to check-out unless cleaning was performed. Our front desk supervisor was visibly shaken by her interaction with you and asked me, as business owner, to intervene. I knocked on your door and the first thing you said to me was (quote) ”Are you going to clean my room? Otherwise, we are out of here.”I explained that the housekeeping team had already left for the day, but that I will contact one of them at home to see if she is available to return and clean your room. I also cautioned you that, as business owners, we do respect our employees work-life balance. You responded by saying (quote) “You have 5 minutes to do that, or we are checking-out.”The resort was fully-occupied during your stay. There were no alternative rooms available. You complained that you cannot sleep in a dirty room. Given you had only checked-in the previous night, and departed after breakfast, how did your room become so dirty? Presumably, this was because of your domestic behaviour.Our housekeeping team members were unavailable to return to the resort and clean your room. You refused to understand that the only staff we had on-site during the eveni

Wonderful Little Getaway
Granada Beach Resort is a lovely, quiet place to stay with plenty to see and do. The staff were kind, efficient and helpful. The food was good and everything was reasonably priced. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for some fun, sunshine and quiet resting.

We spent a night here while driving around the southern part of cebu. The owner is friendly and we all felt at home just like staying at a private beach house. Service is excellent. The view is beautiful and if you want to just relax and unwind.. stay here . We also like the food from their restaurant. The fish and chips were crispy and yummy. Sphagetti bolognese was also very good .

A special place
This wasn't what we expected. We thought it was a larger resort. We were so happy when we arrived, and it was very quaint. The wait staff were awesome, and made our stay most enjoyable. Lisa, and Michael the owners were fantastic. I proposed to my girlfriend on their beach. When they found out they went out of their way to make us feel special. We will be back.

Thank you for staying at Granada. Our ethos is for all our guests to completely disconnect, relax and be at one with our natural surroundings. This is why our rooms do not have TVs. Given our location, we are dependant on cell towers for our Wi-Fi signal, because there is no fibre connection. In spite of these technical limitations, we do have a strong Wi-Fi signal in the common areas of the resort, but do not advertise in-room Wi-Fi. It was our pleasure to host you at Granada.

A great break at a beautiful hotel
We had a wonderful six night break at Granada Beach. The hotel is small enough that it doesn’t feel crowded, set on a beautiful hillside overlooking the sea with a fabulous private beach. The staff are all lovely and help to make the resort a relaxing, stress free getaway from a hectic lifestyle - nothing is ever too much trouble. Mike and Liza are great managers and Granada Beach is in safe hands. Food is locally sourced, tasty and very reasonably priced. The tours are also great and I appreciate they go out of their way to try to avoid places that are too touristy, or beat the crowds if they are. If there is anything to improve, some of the facilities are a touch dated. For example, the showers are okay, but it would great to install a rainfall shower or similar. And some parasols by the pool to create some shade would be a good idea - the sun is very intense! Also for the keen gym goer, it would be lovely if they could build a small gym with weights so guests can burn off the extra calories from the delicious food! We would be happy to pay a bit more per night to fund the updates, and will be sure to return in the not too distant future.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing hotel then this is the place for you! Facilities are spotlessly clean and in very good repair. Grounds are well kept and pool is very pleasant as is the private beach. As others have commented food is of good quality and the menu rotates every three days or so. If you want adventure then tours can be booked from the hotel, swimming with whale sharks, hiking, waterfalls etc. We did not do any of the tours but speaking with guests that did, they seemed happy. There is a small fishing village nearby and a slightly larger town about 15 mins away by bus or motorcycle. This area is not touristy so don’t expect any amenities outside of the resort except motorcycle hire. The staff are friendly and helpful. A very relaxing place to stay and the scenery is lovely.

This is a wonderful property for the price. We visited in the low season. As other guests have commented, the tours are fantastic. I consider the staff to be among the friendliest I’ve met - they are full of warm smiles & lots of laughter. The snorkeling from their beach is fabulous. A lot better than what I observed off Mactan Island. Be sure to wear footwear, though, as the rocks are sharp as you wade to sufficiently deep water to swim. If I come back to the Oslob area, there is NOWHERE ELSE I would even consider staying. This place is fantastic.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here. We didn't leave the property the entire time and we didn't need to - the reef off the beach was fantastic and we saw so many turtles! The room was very spacious, the food was excellent and big portions. The pool was great and vert warm. All of the staff were amazing and so friendly. We noticed a little wear and tear in the curtains in our room, and if the place had a few WiFi boosters (to reach the rooms better) and a screen in the room for watching downloaded films then in our opinion this place would deserve to be a 5* resort.

AMAZING!!! It's like having your own piece of paradise! And with only 9 rooms, this small, private resort will never be crowded. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, the tour guides are friendly and make every adventure fun! The pool is immaculate. You can get a relaxing massage in a little bamboo hut overlooking the water, listening to the waves lap onto the beach. You get to eat meals outside on the covered patio while looking out at the incredible water view and listening to nature. (No blaring music here!) If you want quiet, peaceful, relaxing evenings after their fun-filled day tours, Granada Beach Resort is it!

We felt like we were in paradise at our own private resource. This was a girl trip for 6 of us ages 17-55. The rooms and resort were so nice! The staff was amazing - so helpful and willing to help. The massage lady was wonderful! The food was ALL delicious! Book your tours through the resort - they have the best guide (Jury)! You will be safe and have amazing memories for a life time!

Peaceful resort with great views. A little bit of a drive from everything but I’d give that up for the serenity. Seafood meals were the best on the menu.

Location was a little bit of a hike (10 mins) from the main road, so aim to arrive during daylight. Resort is very well maintained and upkept, except hot tub as not in use while we were there. Pool is well maintained you can swim anytime of day. Lounge area is nice with a few shaded areas. Restaurant area overlooks ocean and is very nice. Restaurant food was OK, they are trying to improve the food but we found it fine, except often orders were wrong due to employees not writing down the orders. We never complained but it was a bit frustrating. Breakfasts were very nice, lunch menu was standard and stayed the same and dinner menu changed daily which was nice because there isn't much else to eat in and around the area so we often just stayed at the resort. Rooms are nice - beds are very firm, washroom had nice hot water and was clean and the in-room filtered water with coffee and team was a nice touch. The staff are extremely friendly and very attentive. We booked massages overlooking the ocean 2 days in a row, great price! We booked the whale shark tour through the hotel it can easily be done without a tour. Ways to improve: offer more on-resort activities, morning sunrise yoga on that grassy area, nightly entertainment, movies, etc. Not a whole lot to do on the resort otherwise, but so much potential to add more activities - visits to the Boljonn market, etc.

We would just like to touch on a few things in your report. We have several suggestions for things to do in the area such as visit to the Bojoon market, historic church Oslob night market etc in the provided in-room books and are happy to assist guests in doing these activites. In addition for our Ocean View Queen Rooms we also provide complimentary yoga mats for use during their stay. Along with complimentary snorkeling equipment, as well as a short forest hike around the property. Finally, we do not have a hot tub and we do not advertise having a hot tub. The small “tub” at the end of the pool is the chemical pool used for keeping pool levels maintained while not impacting guest use. Lovely property with only 8 rooms which made it very personable. Nice private beach and reef to snorkel. Very relaxing place to stay.

amazing stay
amazing place. from the location, right In front of the sea with a private beach to the friendly staff. the rooms were well decorated, big, comfortable and clean. the food in the restaurant was good. the option to have a massage with seaview was a perfect! definitely recommend a stay here!

This resort has a beautiful sea view ONLY!. The rooms has bad furniture. toilet door has too many vents that the room will get smelly so easy. there is no night life, everything in the resort will close 10pm. you will be 30 min driving away of the nearest market!. Me and my three friends cancelled our three days booking after the first boring day.

For guests who want more nightlife we recommend Cebu City, Borocay or Panglao. We understand you were looking for more nightlife and girls, which is not our area and we are sorry you were disappointed.
