We have a very high tech vented Japanese propane heater and two carbon monoxide devices downstairs and one upstairs and they are in working order i have added another filter to be certain. Our wood stove is also vented to the outdoors. I have stayed in the house and so have other people stay and there have been no reports of problems. We recently had extra outlets added when we installed thei heater a couple years ago. There are only low voltage IKEA mini Christmas lights inside for atmosphere . I noticed a tenant had left an extension cord near the bed so he could use his computer in bed which maybe should’ve removed before you checked in. But we use the thick extension cords if we have to have the extra outlets. It is an old house. I do nothing know what time you checked in but you left at 1:30 the next day . We cannot rerent it on the spur of the moment . But you are welcome to come back and use the two nights another time when is better for you. We had held the house fir you for a month and cannot give refunds once you are checked in.

it was such a pleasure to meet you and you were such are such a wonderful guests and thank you for taking the time to comment on the details of our house. You had an unusual weekend with that storm and I often think it’s a great house to read books in and hide away or meditate. Normally people just are out all the time and come back only at night so thank you for enjoying the art. The only thing you missed was probably the fire pit outside to accompany the Japanese soaking tub again a pleasure to meet you and thank you for coming. I hope to see you again soon.

I love your sense of humor. Yes two phones dial out and the rest are like intercoms but true I could add some more!!. My husband loved to collect antique phones and some still work. Our house doesnt always have good reception for cell phone xervers except upstairs. Thank you so much for coming!

There is an indoor set of stairs that were grandfathered in with the house when the house was built below in 1910 . We noticed you piled pillows on them . The downstairs futon was left open with pillow as many guests like to use that open futon as a sitting area to hand out together in front of the fire,etc or as extra bed for child etc. we were amazed you were able to get it to sit up into a couch shape again. I do maintain the outside as much as I can . It is more of a natural garden with some spaces to sit. The inside of the house has a lot of art that I have made that I rotate to make it have that quirky hobbit feeling may not be in everybody’s taste but that is how we like to keep the house a cozy theatrical experience.

Thank you for being so patient..The house is a grandfathered house downstairs from the early 20th century. They are really loft stairs and that is why we added the outside stairs with a banister. The staircase is part of the charm of the house and that is why we never removed them. The house has two levels but you do not need to use both levels as the downstairs has the bedroom and kitchen and everything, so you do not need to use the indoor stairs all the time. The quirkey stairs are very cozy to sit on and look over the living room. Thanks so much for coming!!!

We couldnt change the stairs they are really just access to the lofts and the upstairs is supposed to be accessible via the other stairs. But for short people you can use both.

The hospitality link at Homeaway/VRBO does not seem to get to everyone an sometimes requires password and verification code to answer. You also did not respond to my communication because of this perhaps. If a matter is urgent call us,text us,email is slower. WE have added a big sign to the house to be sure to call or text us for problems like internet. I have included instructions for resetting it by unplugging and plugging in again..which is all that is usually needed. Do not rely on email only for communication solely though I do respond rapidly. We rarely leave the country. My husband had met you and works around the corner and gave you his number so would have speedily responded to to a call or text. We do live in town so it is convenient if someone has a problem because many owners live out of town.
