Unfortunately, I can't recommend this property. I never received check-in instructions prior to our stay and on day of check-in finally messaged the host at 4:15pm. My message wasn't answered so I decided to call the contact #. She answered right away and was apologetic that the instructions hadn't been sent and sent them while we were on the phone together. When we arrived at the property it was easy to access entry, but unfortunately the home smelled of cigarette smoke. This home is listed as a non-smoking property and the smell was quite bothersome, as I'm extremely sensitive to allergens, such as cigarette smoke, and fragrances. I messaged the host and she apologized for the smell. She informed me that the ducts had been cleaned the week prior and that the a/c filter needed to be changed out again and had someone come change the filter. The new filter did help a bit, but the cigarette smoke smell was still prevalent, as it is very hard to get rid of once smoking has occurred in a home. I understand that not all renters abide by the rental agreement, but I feel that the fact that the property had been smoked in and still had a very prevalent smell should have been communicated to me prior to our stay. If I had known, I probably would have found a different property. Other than the smoke smell, which is a big deal for me, the house was clean and well kept. And the host was responsive when contacted by me.
